that inside running rail at Kenilworth...confuses a lot of jocks...and they still make a beeline for it...

He said the fillies where well in and Follow The Star duly wins at 11-50 on the tote but 33-1 on the books.
Very good find PeterD.

And Stan says that's the only one that doesn't have a chance as its so out at the weights, heard him say that before he hypnotized me into a deep slumber

An otherwise excellent days racing ruined by an abysmal stipes decision. Yes, the head-on shows that Jo shifts outwards carrying CTR a couple of horsewidths out, and the two horses brush once. However, Jo is always in front, and Grant never stops riding or urging. In my opinion the interference is minimal and inconsequential. A result should only be overturned if it is clear that the second horse would most likely have won but for the interference. In this case, the Jo always had something in hand and the runner up is highly unlikely to have been able to get up even if they never touch.

My thinking exactly like u PeterD and as a veteran in the game and knowing these flesh from breeding them i thought i was just thinking from my pocket but u just rubber stamped my thinking.

Its just so hard to swallow really. Was my pick 6 banker and running in doubles.Would of been so much if he ran a fair second but for the stipes to see it the other way around was painful really.

Everybody asks what can be done to better the game, many people are trying by offering their expertise on various platforms like ABC forum and other social media links BUT what can the punting public do to create some consintency with the objections and the lack of consistency between decisions.

The objection rule requires a subjective application ie. but for the interference, the interfered horse would have won, hence the inconsistent decisions...

How often, even without any interference, a horse can get passed and fight back to win? So, the stipes decisions involve a fair amount of guesswork hence the inconsistent decisions...

The most famous "wrong" decision was Wylie Hall and Legislate in the (arguably) biggest race in SA...Legislate never headed Wylie Hall as every time they got eye-ball to eye-ball, Wylie Hall found a little more...all heart in that finish...and yet the stipes decided otherwise...

Compare that to the Wolf Whistle / Yarm Arm battle from a few years earlier when the result stood...
