Supabets and bettingworld.bet

These 2 bookies are offline since Eater weekend
They do not respond to any request for a withdrawal and many people are told their balances are ZERO when they have R20,000 odd in their account
All you get out of "support" is "We truly apologies for the inconvenience that has been caused."
Anybody know what’s going on?

Are they not part of the Business Rescue as a possible sale?
I understand the tote and bookie side are being split.
Transparency always a problem but one would think some kind of statement would be issued🥸

Supabets are in a real jam by the sounds of it.

Betting World is seemingly the .bet site ( few users) and the .co.za their main site is not affected.

has nothing to do with business rescue

they have seemingly "lost" all their data - meaning record of bets placed and individual account balances (hacked or a dos attack or whathefuckever) - but they are saying nothing --- just silence

see they are offering a 50% deposit bonus right now - can't see many rushing to take this offer from someone that reflects ZERO balances on their client's accounts

I wonder if the Gambling Board knows about this?

Almost certainly a 'ransomware' attack where the hacker gets access and encrypts all the data. Requests a 'ransom' be paid, usually in crypto such as BTC , or ETHEREUM to decrypt the data.

These okes are a fucking joke of note they make millions and can't secure their own data security. The gamble board should close them down permanently that's what should happen

To cut a long story short, we attempted to try and get some feedback for THEIR clients but no joy.

They certainly fall under the “tote” image as far as customer service 🤡
