Really need (R2) Persistance and (R6) Son Of Silk to arrive for my multiples, but here are my thoughts :-

Race (1)
Homely Girl ran in a minor feature last time out, back in maiden company, must be a runner here. Nippy Winter, whilst beaten by Homely Girl, has improved from with every race and if not running flat should be the one they all have to beat.

Race (2)
Persistance finished 2.75 lengths ahead of Ravensthorpe on debut, the latter came out and won by 6.00 lengths next time out. Last time out in a minor feature, Persistance wasn’t disgraced when finishing second to the still unbeaten Masked Vigilante. If no interest for any of the first timers, the one to beat.

Race (3)
Vida Futura, finished 0.35 behind You Know Who, who came out and won next time out. Stayed on last time and from a decent draw should be involved in the finish.

Race (4)
Phedra was slow away last time, should appreciate the extra. Temple Bar the obvious danger.

Race (5)
Love Note will perform better on the Kenilworth summer course, was caught somewhat flat-footed last time out at Durbanville. From a decent draw, will probably race a little more handy. Adderbury Lake the danger.

Race (6)
Son Of Silk, probably one of the better bets on the card. Was a comfortably second last time out, similar tactics should see him in the winners enclosure.

Race (7)
Life On Mars hit the front late last time out and wondered about costing him the race. Coming back in distance should do the trick.

Race (8)
Field race.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Why are they still racing for a bag of spanners?

Should racing not be abandoned in support of the emergency services?

Our thoughts with all those affected by the devastating fire. As a UCT alumnus, very sad to see the damage there.
The SE is pumping which is bad news for fire fighters.
Strong headwind at Kenilworth.
Race 1 Some unknown first timers. Nippy Winter, Homely Girl and Reverent Lass look best of the raced runners.
Race 2 Persistance is the one to beat after two good runs, but a very skinny price when you don't know what hes up against from first timers. Rod the Mod has ability but a shocker last time. Ovation fair debut and should come on from that run.
race 3 This depends on which ones make the most improvement. Vida Futura is first pick, followed by Golden Vision, Back to You and Pomp and Power. Forever Bill was fancied first time and must be respected.
Race 4 Phedra very good debut and should win this. An open race if she fails, with all of 1,4,5,6,7 having shown ability.
Race 5 Whatsinadream is first choice, and challengers are Love Note and Adderbury Lake.
Race 6 Lord Marmite and Son of Silk look the two principals. Brandy'N coke, Alingalonger, Coolusive can make the quartet
Race 7 Princess Santo looks ready to win. Soft Day is a lurker on her early form, but poor comeback run last time. Wordsworth is better than his last effort, when probably running too soon after previous fair run.
Race 8 This looks trappy. The short list is After the Storm and L'Ami Jean, but quite a few with chances.

Eish Bayern,Van Niekerk even managed to get Persistance to run out the PA.
Head wind at Kenilworth so maybe a bit of cover would have been better instead of the front.

Agree, especially the way he emptied out.

2 year olds still baffling these Cape trainers as usual.
Snaith's best of the day beaten by it's stable companion.
