Lots of sprinter type horses in drill hall to pull Rainbow into the straight and he will fly at them last 200m.

Captain ransom in my opinion a superstar... it will be a precision

If Marcus rides a "variety club style" race on seeking the stars they wont catch him , greyville will be ideal track for a horse with such high cruising speed.

I think Got the greenlight can just outclass malmoos and summer pudding in a race that should be a brilliant race .

Top top races ahead

My thoughts on the 3 KZN Features -

Drill Hall - I can't see either Rainbow Bridge or Golden Ducat firstly being primed for this and secondly winning over 1400; the next best rated runner is Ultra Magnus, who must be doubtful getting the 1400 - so for me I think Eden Roc at current odds represent huge value - is a winner this track and trip and has won twice from 3 tries over the distance - throw in pole position and I think he will go very close with Catch Twenty Two his biggest danger

KZN Fillies Guineas - does look a procession for Captain's Ransom - if fit and ready will be hard to beat - only danger is Princess Calla, who has the advantage of having a recent run, and can give CR a go at least

KZN Guineas - open race imo - MK's Pride best in but may be better up to 1400, but probably has been aimed at this race; Kommetdieding has been very impressive - slightly tricky draw though and there will be a lot of pressure on the jock to perform against the big boys; Linebacker is my tentative first choice, but like Gatekeeper and Kommetdieding probably have bigger fish to fry; Russian Rock needs to learn to settle and seems held by Kommetdieding, for me I think Seeking the Stars also better up to 1400; so I'd go Linebacker from MK and Kommetdieding

Those intending on having a bet on the weekends racing should just wait as there is very heavy rain predicted for KZN starting Friday morning.

Just back the Cape horses guys, how difficult can it be during Champion season? All won with a ton in hand, never extended, even though they were 70-80% ready. Gauteng horse are fit and ready for.......only performing in Gauteng well that's if there are no Cape raiders.  :silly:

Not sure which is the correct thread to post this, hopefully you find it helpful :-
