Racing International

Nice for die-hard UK racing fans to have something to watch and punt on after hours, but somebody please tell Racing International that the course map and description which they put up for Kempton Park before last night's meeting is about three years out of date.

With so many Kempton meetings covered on Tellytrack and RI you'd think by now that somebody would be aware of the fact that the old Kempton flat turf course was completely done away with and replaced with an AW course which in shape and size looks absolutely nothing like its predecessor. This is particularly important when it comes to sprint races. The old six furlong straight course would probably run straight through the dam in the centre of the course if it still existed!

All races are around one of two turns on the new Kempton course, and the effect of the draw etc. is very different from what it used to be. It may not be a big deal, but the new Kempton course has been in operation for a long time now and you would think that somebody might actually notice that it resembles the old course map about as much as I resemble Brad Pitt.

It's just sloppy. Nothing new, I know!
