Think these should win :-
R4) Bold Act
R6) Vaseem
R8) Good Queen Bess
R4) Bold Act
R6) Vaseem
R8) Good Queen Bess
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

32 first timers and all will need the run or the trainer couldn't be bothered to comment.
We got one trainer who says his horse is a nice type though but will also need the experience.
I'm starting to wonder why I support these okes when they couldn't care less for the punter on the street.
CnC would love these comments.

CNC uses a pin to pick his horses, so no harm to him

Lots of first-timers and unexposed runners - bread-and-butter racing for the most part and it will be like this up in Gauteng for the next 4 months - so get used to it  Thoughts:
R2: There She Goes on debut ran less than 2 lengths behind Sound of Warning, who subsequently won the Strelitzia in KZN - not sure what to make of that, as the subsequent runs by TSG have been moderate, but should at least be good enough to give the first-timers a run, as the Marwing stable has been in form recently; interesting that the van Vuuren stable runs one filly against the colts in the first race and another here in the 2nd - probably hoping they can win both races; we all know that the Tarry stable has been struggling for winners, so not sure what to make of Magic to the Fore; most debutantes from the Matchett stable usually start at big odds, but more than one have surprised, while the Human stable sends out a Futura filly (out of a Var mare), so could also be a surprise package; Bling takes the ride on the Azzie debutante - could be bred for further, but it all adds up to a rather difficult race to try and predict the outcome - I'm hoping 1,2,6 and 11 will be enough to survive the BP
R3: Again only 4 of the 10 runners have had racing experience and of those, there is not a lot between Laird of Breedon, My Master and I'm That Tiger on their last runs; anyone's guess on the first timers, so this is another tough race to predict; my BP numbers are 1,2,5,7 and 8
R4: Only 2 first-timers here and both seem unfancied; so of the raced runners it should lie between Bold Act and Coral Dawn; BA ran in a weak field when making her debut, but was drawn 12 out of 12 around the Vaal Classic turn and ran on very well, so should go close here; I do just prefer Coral Dawn who boasts the stronger form imo; others to consider include Northern Glow, who seems held by Coral Dawn on a line through Look Yourself, but could improve in her 2nd start, Wokonda, Tinder Dry (held by Wokonda) and Hollywoodbound (not too far behind BA last time); I'm including 2,3 and 10 on the BP, but taking a chance on Coral Glow in a small P6
R5: Weak Maiden Plate for the females, where the older fillies like Pick a Lily and Zulu War Cry do look very moderate, so the juvenile making her debut would not have to be too good to win this; the other juvenile Twice the Trip was comfortably beaten by Danse Milord (who subsequently ran last in the Strelitzia) in KZN - so I'm not convinced about that one either; BP numbers 1,6,9
R6: Graduation Plate, where it looks at the mercy of Vaseem - for me has been running in the mid-eighties recently, but it still should be good enough to win this; Caralluma has lost the plot, but if returning to her best form could threaten Vaseem, but this does look like a 'see where we are with her' run; Raisetheredlantern at least has recent form, so could be the bigger danger, while Elusive Swan should need more ground, but could be an option for those looking for that big P6 dividend; BP for me I'm including 1 and 4
R7: Very tough F&M handicap; I'm siding with 2,4 and 6 in the BP, but any of these could pop up imo
R8: How 'Good' is Queen Bess - betting seems to suggest that she will win this and on breeding she should be looking for this trip and further - wide draw though, so we will see after today; for me I think Bella Rosa is good value, finally getting a good draw, and should go close; however if opposing the Good Queen, only Gold Griffin and perhaps Opening Gambit look totally out of it
R9: First timer Power Ranger finding support in the market, could win, but both Swingthewillow and Tuscan Winter look big runners - nothing else really catches my eye
Enjoy

Act of War babies have performed very well this year. I see on HW started 20/1, drifted 33/1 and now late support into 12/1
