I would have said that I think that filly has absolutely no chance of running in the top 6, but we all know horses make fools of us, so I'll just shut up

Let me see if i can guide you in the July puzzle to finding the winner.
Linebacker, most if not all, have seen him winning the Cape Derby, KZN Guineas and Daily News 2000. I think the first two were relatively effortless, and the most recent win, proves they are on course for a huge July effort.
Visuals aside, if someone can upload the post race interviews (from Tellytrack) of these races with trainer and jockey, each interview from both is more encouraging than the previous, "upwardly mobile as to the horse's improvement", and beyond their expectations.
Grant thinks the horse will stay all day, and gives him goosebumps (the latter after winning the DN 2000).
This horse is yet to be extended, whatever beats him, wins the July (imvho).

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

I'm not going to try and change your mind and obviously everyone has an opinion - but the 'goosebumps' comments have been over-used on many occasions - I'm sure that Muzi and Luke will say the same about their rides - the fact is, none of the 3 yr old Cape Wonders have gone that extra 200m - we will see on the day

Marshall holds a strong hand in this July what beats them will win the July. I recon its a 3 horse race with only gtgl the other runner in this race but like we know this game makes fools out of the cleverest okes and gals

Fair comment Frodo, the flip side, whilst both Rainbow Bridge and GTGL have run over the distance, neither has won, there's no guarantee either will win this time around. With the three year olds, there is lots of improvement to come, and that is a testament to the results, they have improved with each run. It would also be fair to say, the July has been won by a few who were suspect staying the distance, but like you say, only the race will tell.

Y’day or the earliest Tuesday I saw 4/1 Gimmethe green light with WSB. After the scratching of Athena, Gimme is now 28/10. Admittedly, seemingly a big difference for a scratching of a 12/1.
Because I backed her, I’m following She’s A Keeper who was 25/1 before Athena’s scratching and now she is 22/1 with WSB. So I scored a little bit.

Imo, 'they' banked on the rumors floating around and drifted WoA from around 8s to (on some sites ) 14s - so the prices about the others remain relatively stable as they have priced in WoA as a non-runner already. And I don't think one can blame the connections - they had to wait until the draws for the Garden Province were done - it could have happened that she drew 16 - and then I think she would have gone for the July
I know it does seem unfair when your fancy at A/P does not run, but that is why they offer bigger odds - so it's up to you to take them on, or not
