The two fillies finished on top of each other in 4th and 5th. The winner was well clear but close for the places.
two runners at Kenilworth on Tuesday.
*Disruptive makes his debut in race 1. He has not galloped on the grass but has been showing promising work. There are a few with good form (Three Tigers, Churchillian, Gold Giboski) and he is bred for further, so this is an educational run. Hope to see him running on if he does not need it too badly. No pressure.
*Golden Angel runs in race 6. She has been knocking on the door, but unfortunately a wide draw here. Zackey knows her well and hoping that with a bit of luck from the draw she can score a much overdue second win.
Her work has been good. Very open race.

Disruptive missed the break and then slow into stride- was a few lengths detached from the field. However, he ran on nicely and should come on heaps from the run.
Golden Angel no luck from the draw and made up ground in the straight for another somewhat frustrating 4th, beaten under 2 lengths.
Two runners at Turffontein on Thursday. On an Impulse runs in race 2. Fair debut and green over a trip too short 10 days ago. Should come on from that run and should enjoy the extra. A small field of 8 and he gets a decent 3 draw. The Matchett stable companion Wings of Ice ran a cracker last week and gets draw 1, so with the scratching of Chronicle King looks the one to beat. The stable also have a well bred first timer with Yeni up, so have a strong hand. Scarlett Heart has had 3 runs and should be in the frame again. The Tarry first timer, Taskmaster has been priced up favourite, and thus must be respected, but I'd rather go with Wings of Ice.
Warning Sound in race 8. Poor run last time but hopefully they have sorted out whatever issue she had that day. Gets a fair draw and should be running on.

On An Impulse set the pace for the stable companion which duly won. He tired the last bit, but for a horse that needs ground he showed a nice cruising speed.
Warning Sound ran on well for 2nd but a long way behind the facile winner. Will be better further and the longer run-in.
One runner at Fairview on Friday. Mhlabeni runs in race 5. As per usual in these pinnacles is out at the weights with the top couple. He has been holding form well the past 3 runs, and can again sneak a place.
Luna Halo is weighted to win, but she always comes from far back. The step up from 1400m to 1600m should help and she is the one to beat. If she fluffs her lines then a few can pop up.

Mhlabeni handy, strong early pace and faded out.
One runner at Turffontein on Sunday
Captain Selvie in race 10. She can build on a good win last time and I fancy her to win again with natural improvement. Tougher task here against older winners, but she gets the necessary WFA allowance and her rating looks fair for what she beat last time. Shake It and Omnipotent are progressive 3yos and look the main dangers, Phantom Express has been priced up favourite -she is consistent and an in form yard, but is well exposed.

Captain Selvie ran on strongly the last bit to get second. Unlike her sisters, she looks like she will need 1200mplus to show her best. As a 3yo may even get the mile.
One runner at Kenilworth on Tuesday. Double Dash in race 9. Poor tactics last time when going too hard early. She can make amends and is a runner with GvN up who partnered her to her maiden victory, but an open field.
One runner at Greyville on Wednesday. Dawn Surprise in race 3. She tries poly again, and is quite a bit down in the ratings. Gets a fair draw, and has got enough early speed to make her presence felt.

Double Dash scratched.
Dawn Surprise fair effort but still below best.
one runner at Fairview on Friday
Stroopsoet in race 4. faded out last time, needs to bounce back to best if she is to be competitive in an open race.
Baie Mooi could be anything and is the one to beat. Bosnay holding form and should be in the shakeup

Fair run 4th by Stroopsoet.
One runner at turffontein on Saturday
Charleston Dawn debut in race 2. No idea what to expect, but the Matchett yard have been doing well with their juveniles this season.
Raceway and Jazz Pianist have shown up well, but mostly first timers so I’ll just be watching

Charleston Dawn showed good pace and faded late. Should come on from this run.
Three runners at Kenilworth on Wednesday, weather permitting.
Luca da Wheels in race 1. Bred for further and this looks a very strong race. Will be watching with interest.
*Golden Angel in race 7. She has dropped further in the ratings and if she handles the trip in the soft then she is a big runner at the weights.
Golden Tatjana in race 8. Has been coming back to form and is very quick. If she can hold on in the wet then can win.

Luca misused the break many lengths, but ran on well. With the experience, and if he jumps on terms will be one to follow next time.
Golden Angel looked dangerous, but ran out of puff in the sticky going, 5th beaten 3L.
Golden Tatjana again very quick but stopped late, also 5th beaten 3 L
One runner at Fairview on Friday. Treasure Hunt in race 8. Has to carry a very big weight, but has drawn well and the shift to poly won’t hurt. If she repeats her last good effort, should be competitive this field.

Smart win by Treasure Hunt- she is very game.
Two runners at Kenilworth on Sunday
*Silver Quality in race 6. She needs to show something today or we need to consider her future
Call to Unite in race 8. Strong race and he is out at the weights with the top few. Garrix can win again if he keeps improving, but Mucho Dinero was finishing best last time and will test him again. Magic Verse and Otto Luckyen good runs last time and can again be in the shakeup.

One runner at Turffontein on Thursday- Captain Selvie in race 9.
She has more scope for improvement than the rest and gets a decent draw. Should be the one to beat, although I still think that she is better 1200m.
scratched
