Re: Black Swan Stud Busy few days ahead
1 month 5 days ago - 1 month 5 days agoUnfortunately, I think that some people cannot see an animal is in distress. It's not something that everyone can see. You always hope that it will spring back to it's heyday, I suppose. and he was a goodun in the past...Fair run by Treasure Hunt in 5th
One runner at Turffontein on saturday.
Ausenkher in race 9.
Its really sad as the breeder to see a nice horse like this being forced to run every week when he is clearly not sound. I cannot understand how the NHRA do not require a vet certificate after he was pulled up and found to be lame just 9 days ago.

Another dismal run by Aussenkher.
One runner at Scottsville on Sunday
Dead Poets Society in race 1. Did not show much on debut, but hopefully will improve with that run under the belt. Will need further. Not much form among the raced runners so a first timer likely to pop up.

DPS showed better pace this run, but looked still in need of it and further.
Dawn Surprise ran at Scottsville on Wednesday. dropped back to sprints and returned to form beaten 2L 3rd.
One runner at kenilworth on Saturday.
Golden Angel in race 7. She missed out a couple of weeks ago when washed out. Has had a gallop, so is fit and well despite the break of 2 months since her last run.
Gets a decent draw and we are expecting a good run. A competitive race where just about all runners have a chance, but at 10/1 she is good ew value.

Golden Angel again disappointing in 5th. Perhaps needed the run.
Two runners at Kenilworth on Tuesday.
*Golden Ideal and Golden Tatjana both in race 5. GT missed the break last time- if she gets her usual quick beginning then could win. Golden Ideal has been best over the minimum trip, but 1100m should be ok. Gets the services of Fourie, so must have a winning chance. Du Maurier could be ahead of the handicapper, and is the horse to beat. Gimme The Power also scope for improvement. Rosa Osiria and Easy Money should be in the shakeup in an open race.

Fourie was stood down, and no other jock available who could ride with not more than 1kg overweight, so sadly Golden Ideal scratched.
Golden Tatjana seems unsound and in my opinion should go to stud now.
One runner at Scottsville on Wednesday.
De Vlugge in race 1. has been sold and changed stables. Has been off the track for 6 months with various issues. if fit and well can beat this type of field, as she ran against much stronger in CT. An open race.
Spinmyangelspin, What a Passion and Water Hyacinth look the main contenders. Fascination gets 4kg claim, and Ebisu fair debut can both be in the frame. The first timer Gorgeous Cape is bred for further, but doesn't have to be a champ to feature here.

De Vlugge showed pace, tired late. Should come on plenty from this run.
One runner at Vaal on Thursday.
On an Impulse in race 1. Matchett has a strong hand, but what I thought was the best of his 4, The Last Duke is scratched.
Redlightgreenlight in receipt of 3kg may be the best of his remaining 3, although Zackey is booked for Red Penny. Singleton Sam won well at his second start this distance and is the one to beat.
On an Impulse should enjoy the longer trip , and hopefully will show further improvement to get into the money.

On An Impulse again used as the pacemaker, and tired late.
One runner at fairview on Monday.
Mhlabeni in race 6. This is a bit on the sharp side for him, but is a handicap which is better for him than the Pinnacles, and the soft going might be in his favour. Very open race and he could surprise with 4kg claimer.

Mhlabeni fair run beaten 2L. Disruptive and Ruby's Fortress no show.
Mhlabeni then ran again on Friday 15th and no show.
Two runners at Kenilworth on Saturday. Light rain falling and hopefully we will see out the meeting.
Golden Angel in race 5. Well weighted here and should go close. Happy Verse is a class youngster but has to give away chunks of weight.
Golden Ideal in race 6. She is a couple of kilos out with the best weighted, but with a low weight could run into the money in a very open race.

Kenilworth abandoned, which was surprising. There is supposedly an extra meeting for later this month to run the Country champs races.
One runner at Turffontein on Sunday.
Step Into It in race 3. Pleasing debut and gets the plum draw. Alpha World is the one to beat but I think it will be closer than the betting suggests if SII can make the improvement with the benefit of the run.

Good win by Step Into It. Could develop into a useful stayer.
Two runners at Scottsville on Wednesday.
De Vlugge in race 4. Has had her issues, but a promising run after 6 month break when tiring late. If fit and well could win here. Cassandra looks the one to beat.
Dawn Surprise in race 6. Improved last time when brought back to the sprints. Has done well this course and with a useful claiming apprentice should be in the firing line if the outside draws are ok on the day.
Very open race and many with chances.
