PHUMELELA MEDIA RELEASE

SUBJECT: New race times for Kenilworth Saturday and Turffontein Sunday

DATE: Friday 4 June

RELEASED BY: Phumelela Gaming

Race times for the race meetings at Kenilworth tomorrow and at Turffontein on Sunday have been changed as a result of the postponement of Scottsville and Mauritius to Sunday.

The Scottsville meeting has been switched to Sunday because as things stand it is unlikely that the track will dry in time to enable racing to take place tomorrow.

The Mauritius fixture has been moved from tomorrow to Sunday because two days of national mourning have been declared following the death of former president and prime minister Sir Anerood Jagnauth.

Starting times of races at both meetings remain unchanged. The new race times for Kenilworth tomorrow and Turffontein on Sunday are below.

Kenilworth Saturday 5 June: 12:45 – 13:20 – 13:55 – 14:35 – 15:10 – 15:45 – 16:20 – 16:55

Turffontein Sunday 6 June: 13:00 – 13:35 – 14:10 – 14:48 – 15:23 – 15:54 – 16:25 – 17:00

How on earth was Turfontein not brought forward to Saturday? So many jockeys have multiple rides on both days..

Check the numerous jockey changes, I am sure preference was given to KZN card.

Definitely, the JHB jocks aren't going to miss out on the 4 Grp 1s! Pity though as there were some good horses running in JHB also.
