I have just watched the Gold Circle TV preview for today. Incredibly, they only interview 3 assistant trainers, from the Drier, Miller and Kannemeyer yards. Why no interviews with leading trainers Snaith, Tarry etc ? Dismal effort.
Race 1 Open race, my first choice is Diamond Girl.
Race 2 Drama Queen takes her chances here. Not the best of draws, and against the boys, but no other suitable races for her for some weeks. She is fit and well and back to herself last run. Very open race, but with some luck in the running has a decent ew shout here.
Race 3 Captain's Run the one to beat. Civil Rights, Miss Putin Twice the Trip and Eastern Belle have chances.
Race 4 Cosmic Highway is the best performed, but the weight may catch him. Some lightly raced colts that could improve to win. Conquer the Enemy, Party Time, Purple Flame, AJ's Captain, Waterberry Lane look the main dangers, but an upset quite possible.
race 5. The wellbeing of the Snaith runners is key to this race. African Night Sky well in at the weights. Crown Towers is the one he has to beat. Either go just these two in the exotics, or the field.
Race 6 Zarina is the one to beat. Keep the Lights On, Freestate Star, Favorita, Caya Coco and Love Bomb are all decent 3yos that would not be surprises. Wisteria Walk, Mount Laurel and Rio's Winter look the best of the older fillies.
Race 7 Rainbow Bridge was very impressive last time, is the class, consistent horse and is the one to beat. I'm a little concerned that Jet Dark has not run since the Queen's Plate victory. He is the one horse here that is a match for Rainbow Bridge in terms of finishing speed. He out ran him late in the QP, and in the Cape Guineas, came from a hopeless position to run fourth showing a devastating turn of foot. If he is 100%, he can win. The places are open-Catch Twentytwo ran wide in the Drill Hall when 2nd, and gets the worst of the draws here, but is a smart sort this trip, as is Seeking the Stars. The two Tarry runners are hard knockers that can't be ignored for the places.
Race 8 Very open race. Sweet Sensation a narrow first choice.
Race 9 Tricky Maiden, and it will be interesting to see if Double Edge is worth the apparent support despite his poor draw and a 2yo taking on older on debut. Radames has solid form and if fit must go close. Quite a few others with chances.

I agree with Peter ito the GTB preview - pretty poor show imo; I'll just mention two longer priced runners for places and perhaps a small each-way; in the 2nd Quick Star imo taking current form into account is a big price - I think Patel is steadily improving under MJ's guidance and I think will run in the first 4; in the 8th, Brazil Nut comes back after a break (bled in his last start) - he is very well in here - a 9.5 kg swing with Spydas Corner to make up a 4 length difference - in fact if he had a decent jock I'd be quite bullish on him - from pole position still should feature if more or less ready and provided they have fixed up the bleeding problem
Enjoy

After 2 days of reasonable to catch exotics, I fear a couple of big payouts today (unless you catch them)

Money isn't stopping for Cosmic Highway
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Dare I say it - typical KZN results - big day or not - what have we learnt from the first 3 races - front runners are dead and wide draws are good - use it don't use it
