SCOTIA BACK ON SA SOIL.

Good evening to the CLAN, just to report I have arrived back in S.A. with a severe doze of the flu.

I will put it down on not wearing the correct clothing during the Summer and getting wet from one pub to another.

Have lots to report, but the main reason for the trip was to celebrate my Mums 80th, which was a huge event and a great night had by all. In addition she had her operation on Thursday and is going home tomorrow after very successful surgery, I could not believe how well she looks after her ordeal.

A big thanks to the Boy Wonder for helping with the site and ensuring all the girls had left the pool area before we got home.

Only bad news was that we lost our wee dog Benjie after 18yrs, he unfortunately drowned in pool due to most of his senses lost due to old age, but a bad situation for the young lad to handle.

We had a great time in Majorca and its well worth a visit and "Auld Reekie" is still a magic city for any potential tourists. Just watch the weather changes.

As normal, during a holiday we have eaten and drunk ourselves to a standstill and now time to pull the reigns, we had a few friends and family to meet and most nights were like New Years Eve.

I will post a few pics on the gallery, but must say it was a pleasure arriving at a very impressive arrival area at O.T. airport after having a couple of nightmares at Heathrow.

Many people are keen to come to SA and only concern was the crime, but I can assure everyone that I am convinced that SA is the best holiday destination on the planet, if you take the exchange rate and weather into consideration, we can expect a huge influx for the S.A. World Cup.

I will try and pick up the threads as far as horses, but see the lads tipped a 25/1 shot today on the Forum. I also enjoyed watching some big horse races in the U.K. and Ireland, in addition to some well televised dog racing.

I look forward to going back to the big T over the weekend and they tell me the box is looking superb, so in search of a couple of winners. I would just like to get up to speed on the Parade Ring and Lights, would be nice to consider a dog track, or are the plans in place.

Zarkava continues to improve and must be very hard to beat in the ARC, and to be fair I have been calling this one for months.

I see the competition is still going strong and last months winner Brian, has again donated to the KZN horse care unit, well done, I am sure the ladies in the office will be following your selections with interest.

Good punting and may your God be with you.
