Track information

Race Track: Turf. Summer course 2800m in circumference with 600m run-in. Winter course 2700m with 450m run-in. Races up to 1200m testing straight course (1200m races are occasionally run round the turn, starting on the Summer course and ending on the Winter course); beyond 1200m anti-clockwise round turn.

Best Draws: Low-numbers draws slightly preferred all races. Wet going can impact on draw in races down the straight.

31 year old related to my sister in law's husband was diagnosed on Thursday, admitted to hospital on Friday due to difficulty breathing so put on oxygen treatment, put on ventilator on Sunday and passed away Monday evening...no pre-existing conditions...this variant seems more virulent and severe for the under 50s...

Sunny day, little wind, course soft. Quite a few scratchings due to insufficient work, so will be some horses running that are also short of a gallop.
Race 1 Son of Silk is the one to beat if the 1200m is not too sharp.La Banquiere the main danger, but upsets happen in these wr contests.
Race 2 Lots of unexposed horses make this very tricky. Star Master, Charlie Squadron and Van Hunks look the best of the raced runners. Half brother to Vardy (Universal) and a half brother to Russian Sage (Sage King) interesting first timers.
Race 3 Louis Diamond, Demelza and Peut Etre Moi decent form, but lots of unraced to worry about.
Race 4 Phedra is re-united with GvN and on her early two runs could be the one here. Impressive Queen and Magna Mater should be in the shakeup, and improvement possible from the lightly race fillies.
Race 5 An open contest, where I have Elusive Tango from a good draw. He is doing well at home, and has done enough work to give a good account of himself. I think that he should go very close. many with chances, Irish Tractor, Triple Jet and High Moon are the key dangers.
Race 6 Not much between Bey Suyay and Double Charge and both big runners in another competitive race. Abraham Lincoln and Ticket To Ride should both be included.
Race 7 Also very open. Shortlist is Chilly Winter, Winter Furi, Noosa Princess and What a Lover.
Race 8 Dancetildaylight and Giverny drawn on opposite sides of the track and are my preferred selections in that order. Dangers are Tamil Tiger and Galiek Yo Baby.

How often with our racing do the odds on shots in the 1st race miss a place?
Just puts the bookies on the front foot from the word go as this was the shortest priced horse of the day.
