GOODMAN GETS R40 000 FINE
The National Horseracing Authority confirms that an Inquiry was held at its offices in Durban on Friday, 12 September 2008 Mr J M Goodman was charged with a contravention of Rule 73.2.4 in that he was the trainer responsible for the horse EPIGRAF at the time when a specimen taken from this horse after it participated in the 4th Race at Greyville Racecourse on 24 January 2008, disclosed upon analysis the presence of Salbutamol (Albuterol) which is a prohibited substance in terms of the Rules of The National Horseracing Authority.
Mr Goodman pleaded not guilty to the charge.
