MEDIA RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE USE

18 SEPTEMBER 2008



The Mauritius racemeeting at Champs de Mars Racecourse scheduled for Saturday, 20 September 2008 has been postponed to Sunday, 21 September 2008 due to torrential rainfall.



The Mauritius Turf Club advises that this racemeeting is also in doubt due to the excessive rain.



The rain has also forced the closure of the schools on the island.

The Mauritius Racemeeting scheduled for Sunday, 21 September 2008, has been abandoned due to torrential rainfall currently being experienced on the island.



The Mauritius Turf Club announced that due to the cancellation of this weekend’s racemeeting they would be holding an additional racemeeting at Champs de Mars Racecourse on Saturday, 18 October 2008.
