Life Goes On in the last looks to be some value , showed good pace over slightly further last start ,and on the inside track looks some value @ 7/1

Cape race 9: Hilarity , was spoken of highly when in Durban and things just never seem to fall into place , could reward the punters this weekend with a win at a nice price

Good day all
Turfontein
Will try the following today
If you fancy buck fizz then take double with Beltway Beltway should go close
Zaviah
Zazu (probably best bet on card if not needing the run after break) related to Ali bon Dubai should love this distance
Big burn should love the inside track
Last race Madame Patrice and country mile
Cape
Been a long time since I've seen expensive horses win first time out but for that price of 3 mill race 3 horse could be something special
Race 1 like a bit of LA Lomita
Kasimir is a special horse even if suspect over 1000m should run well
Happy punting all

TURFFONTEIN INSIDE SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 4 FORMGUIDES, SELECTIONS,
by David Thiselton
R1
Preview: LAZY GUY (1) has shown ability and has a chance in thus line up. BUCKS FIZZ (6) is drawn in pole and has a form chance. SAN QUINTIN (9) makes most appeal of the first-timers being by Dynasty out of Grade 1-placed All Afire who has produced two-time winner Phoenix among others. FREEZING FAST (2) is a long-time maiden but has shown enough to earn here. A WINTER'S TALE (5) is by Philanthropist out of Listed-winning Var mare Winter Passion. PORTRAYAL (3) should enjoy the step back in trip and can place in this field. CAPRONI (7) is by Willow Magic out of a one-time-winning Jet Master mare whose two runners to date have both been unplaced. (David Thiselton 1-6-9-2-5-3-7)
R2
Preview: SILVER TYCOON (2) is a smart horse and should win this having come out and won well last time after an eight month layoff. WOLFF'S WORLD (1) was unlucky last time and could be the chief danger despite officially having a tough task at the weights. SENTBYDESTINY (4) is officially the best weighted horse and is distance suited. (David Thiselton 2-1-4)
R3
Preview: EASTERN BELLE (2) has a plum draw and is the one to beat. AMICUS CURIAE (7) is by Twice Over out of Sue For Peace who won five times and who has already produced three multiple winners from four runners. CORAL DAWN (3) has the ability to be involved here over a suitable course and distance. BELTWAY (4) showed improvement last time and has a plum draw over the same trip. LIKE A DIAMOND (5) is improving and could earn a cheque. (David Thiselton 2-7-3-4-5)
R4
Preview: ZAVIAH (6) enjoyed the step up to 2200m last time and should enjoy the further step up here. UNDERSTATED (2) will enjoy this trip and has a chance if sent for home early as he is out and out stayer. ROYAL TIGER (3) looks to be the best of the rest. (David Thiselton 6-2-3)
R5
Preview: CAP ESTEL (4) is by stamina influence Judpot and is a full-sister to Miss Cap Mala who has won over 1800m and been placed over 2400m and she strikes as a stayer too so is the one to beat from although hopefully she will not be caught wide from draw five like she was last time when staying on for fourth over 1600m. GLOBAL LOUISE (5) is by Galileo sire Global View and looks to be an out and out stayer who will relish this trip and Khumalo aboard is a plus although her wide draw is a concern. INTERCITY (3) will be dangerous from the front as this trip should be ideal. ARIZONA LADY (1) has run some fair races up to 2000m and has a chance. RROSENWIND (6) is by Flower Alley and is a half-sister to Grade 2 Debutante winner Rosier and to nine-time winner Christofle and is a full-sister to Ms Flower Power who has placed twice over 1400m so she has a chance despite her debut being over 2200m and with a 2.5kg claimer up. SUPER DUPER (2) can't be ignored on best form. ZAZU (7) was quickly swamped when leading over 1600m last time but is by Gloval View and could improve over this trip. (David Thiselton 4-5-3-1-6-2-7)
R6
Preview: FULL VELOCITY (3) has speed and class and can win again from a good draw. THUMBS UP (1) has three wins and a second from five starts over course and distance and has a fair draw although it won't be easy carrying topweight of 60kg. BIG BURN (5) is young but progressive and has plenty of speed so can make a bold bid from the front. ALL OF ME (2) is well drawn over step down in trip she will very much appreciate and she can never be ignored. HERSTEL (
is only half-a-kilogram under sufferance and is drawn in pole over a suitable trip. (David Thiselton 3-1-5-2-
R7
Preview: PUERTO MANZANO (2) would prefer further but this long-striding progressive sort runs fresh and could mow them down late considering he has pole position. RAPID FIRE (5) is drawn two and this consistent filly is suited to this tight course due to her fine turn of foot. VASEEM (6) is in fine form and is distance suited but does have a tough draw. (David Thiselton 2-5-6)
R8
Preview: SOUND OF SUMMER (5) is 3.5kg under sufferance with the best weighted Second Base according to official merit ratings but is race fit and progressive so can go in again from a good draw. SECOND BASE (1) is seen for the first time since his fifth place finish in the Daily News 2000 and from pole position should make his presence felt as one who can still progress further as a four-year-old. GREEN HAZE (3) has a win and a third from two runs over course and distance and is 2kg better off with Golden Pheasant for a quarter length beating over 1600m and is 4.5kg better off with Sound Of Summer for a 1,40 length beating in that same race although the latter won cosily and should have made 1kg improvement since then according to the wfa scale. (David Thiselton 5-1-3)
R9
Preview: AURORA LIGHT (1) was not disgraced first time out the maidens in just her second career start and has a chance here from a plum draw despite being a young three-year-old carrying 62kg. LIFE GOES ON (9) showed pace last time over 1200m and as in contention throughout before rolling out and finishing a 1,40 length fifth so it is significant that Khumalo stays on over this shorter 1000m trip although he has a tricky draw. ROZARA (3) finished a fair second first time out the maidens and has a chance in this uninspiring field from a plum draw. WUHAN (
has a shout if reproducing his run over this trip in June although he has a tough draw. RAMSAY (6) is drawn in pole and has a chance if reproducing his best. MADAME PATRICE (10) is off a competitive mark and has a shout here although she is another with a tough draw. LOVE LIES (2) has a fair draw and has the ability to be involved in the finish here. (David Thiselton 1-9-3-8-6-10-2)

Kenilworth-More rain on Thursday night and Friday morning, but less than feared and we race on a very heavy track with a tailwind.
Race 1Unraced runners make this tricky, and we will see from this race if the inside going is better as is usually the case. Of those that have raced, Take to War, Bon Voyage, Silent Trigger and Transact make most appeal.
Race 2 Of the raced runners, Nippy Winter and I'm in Love look best.
Race 3 Gem King deserves another chance after being stuck out on the wrong side of the course last time. Double Superlative and Raining Again the dangers of those that have raced.
race 4 We have Gentleman running here. Has taken his time learning what to do, but gets a nice draw here and should enjoy the step up in trip. Hoping for improvement, but maybe needs the better going. Plenty with chances as two of the fancied runners scratched.
Race 5 Quite a few scratchings, and I like Cruizin California- good debut run and should enjoy the step up in trip. The Snaith runners the main dangers.
Race 6 Kasimir well in at the weights and is the one to beat. Very open if he fails. Bottom weight Skidoo could get away, but World's your Oyster and No Laying Up are decent sorts.
race 7 A question of what's improved most and what handles the going.
race 8 An open handicap, and Varistocracy has the most scope for improvement.
Race 9 Miss Smarty Pants has been off form last few, but very well in at the weights if finding her best. Fusillade should enjoy this trip. Hilarity not a bad local debut and must be respected.
Race 10 Very open. Official Secret may be the right one

Re: Kenilworth/Turfontien Double header 4 September 2021

Lovely spring day, but track should still be hard and fast favoring horses sitting handy - but some times they go too quick up front and then the ones coming from behind run them down - so a guessing game; also some of the hotties are returning from a break, so fitness has to be a question mark - thoughts:
R1: Buck's Fizz looks the right one but I think too short in the market; looks like there is some money around for Caproni - I'll just watch
R2: I do think Silver Tycoon is vulnerable - out at the weights on official ratings, 2nd run after a long break and taking on some hard knockers; for me if Sentbydestiny comes back to her best (beaten 3 lengths at level weights from a wide draw by War of Athena in the Garden Province) - receiving 3 kgs from the favorite today and looks best over this trip, so I think very hard to beat; also Safe Passage could be anything but should find it hard to beat Sentbydestiny receiving only 3 kgs
R3: I make this a hard race to predict; Eastern Belle tries blinkers, but has disappointed around the turn before; Coral Dawn has run well around this turn, but may prefer further, as should Beltway; Amicus Curiae (where do they find these names
) is by Twice Over and her siblings were best over 1600 - seemingly finding market support; who knows
R4: Zaviah all the rage and with normal improvement should take a lot of beating in this field; Lynty's Legacy tries the trip and could be the surprise package
R5: Not a strong field and nothing stands out for me; Zazu is a half-sister to Ali Bon Dubai, so she should improve this trip - but it may prove a tough task for the recently-turned-3yr-olds to take on their older rivals over this type of ground - I'm loading up
R6: Another race where a young filly in Big Burn (1/2 sister to Catch Twenty-Two) takes on her elders and whilst receiving only 0.5 kgs from the very capable Full Velocity, Big Burn boasts some great form and the only obstacle could be that the 1200 is a touch on the sharp side; so I'm including FV as back-up - can't really see any of the others troubling these two (even being a handicap) at the weights
R7: Much-vaunted Puerto Manzano returns from a break and although he has dead-heated with Thumbs Up (3 wins since) over this track and trip, I think he will have his work cut out in this handicap today; for me I think Visiway is the right one - very nice win last time beating the very capable Kwite a Trip (has won again since) - 2 wins from 3 tries this track and trip and generously priced imo; Willow Express is returning from a break and also looks better over further, Chief of State slightly out at the weights and tries this turn for the first time, but races handy, so could be the main danger to Visiway with the in-form Vaseem - but that one has run his best races down the straight
R8: Another high-class performer in Second Base returns to the track in this highly competitive Pinnacle Stakes - so again fitness to be taken on trust; SB has to give up-and-coming Sound of Summer 8 kgs; to me that is a lot of weight even taking into account that SB is best in according to official ratings; however I'm not that sold on SoS either - he was beaten (granted from a wide draw) in his only effort on this track - last time certainly was looking for the line and today he has to go an extra 200m; so for me I'm including both Golden Pheasant and Green Haze - both were running on at SoS last time and if Green Haze is not slow away (old habit of his, but jumped a little better last time with this jock), he could make SoS work hard today; Orpheus a known front runner, has not won for 860 days (think the connections could feel aggrieved that his rating has not dropped in almost 15 months) but could still upset if allowed to get away
R9: Very tough handicap to close; obvious 2 are the 3-yr old fillies Aurora Light and Rozara, but both have to give weight away to hard-knocking (if inconsistent) older performers; for me I think Undisclosed could be a big danger - comes off a break and Hewitson has been engaged - others to consider could be Ramsay and Life Goes On, but including the field is the only way to ensure not missing the P6 in the last leg
Enjoy

Treble :-
Silver Tycoon X Big Burn X Sound Of Summer
Silver Tycoon X Big Burn X Sound Of Summer
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
