It has not stopped raining in Durban in fact it has got worse and the chances of us racing today are very slim at best...just got home from a dinner out and the visibilty past the airport area was zero....

Sun is out this morning. Not particularly warm, but weather looks fine.

Doesn't matter though since Clairwood abandoned already.

What criteria must be met in order for a meeting to be canceled by your standards Pirates ?

No Pirates I am asking a simple question.

80mm of rain fell over the last 24hrs. Is that not enough to cause havoc on the course ?

In my eyes Gold Circle have a better management team in place then others.

No arguments just a simple question.

READ MY STATEMENT EL PICHE,why not postpone to tuesday as 3 days of hot weather coming up,the answer its not financially viable..ask grecko how long it takes to find a race for your horse ,you get a draw your horses get pre race treatment what you going to tell the vet not to charge the owners..the owners bear the brunt of the complete abandonement of a meeting when it could be POSTP[ONED...RACES FOR YOUR HORSES dont come up every week el piche plus a trainer might be preparing a horse for other races ..i am not asking for the meeting to take place today but look at alternatives of SAVING IT.

There should always be an alternative date to every meeting. Planned up front. All attempts should be made to save the day. Whether it means a move of venue date etc.

Just to easy to keep abandoning meets.

Owners will chuck in this game if things dont change.

100 percent sylvester.owners are getting tired of all this bullshit.they move kenilworth but abandon clairwood and this is done by the same company gold circle.

Yes in that way I agree with you 100% . Meeting should not have been canceled if it could have been postponed.
