Going to steal the glory of James Goodman and make (1) Flying Bull the best bet of today's card in race 8.
If I had to play a double I will add race 7 opera glass with jockey smanga khumalo up.

Will be joining Elvis on course (for a while at least) - concerning Turn Tide, as I mentioned in earlier comments, she is a smashing looking individual, but has been disappointing on the track; jury still out on what her best trip will be, my guess is that she is a sprinter and as such the 1200 here should be right up her ally; tries blinkers today and the plan is to 'race her up with or close to the pace' as she has been pulling in all her starts to date when trying to settle her - on indirect form she is about 3 or 4 lengths behind the principle contenders, so can't be too confident, but let's hope she can at least earn a stake cheque
Although there are more than 10 runners in only 2 of the races, it is not that straight-forward imo - thoughts ....
R2: Shangani is an up and coming lightly raced 4 yr old who should not have any trouble with the extra 400m today and rates the one to beat in a race where jockeyship could be the deciding factor; Afraad would be my 2nd choice, with chances to Captain Chorus and White Fang, who probably needed his last run
R3: Courageous Cat being backed as if the result is in the frame - drawn slightly wide though, so perhaps Displace Time could make him run
R4: Weak Maiden Fillies where I think Ms Flower Power if repeating her best runs, could make them run with the 4kgs allowance; much of a muchness between Burmese Tiara and Country Flame (widish draw), while Maria's World has the most scope for improvement
R5: Competitive F&M Handicap; 3 yr-olds seem to dominate and there may not be much between Eternity Ring and Juliet Tango, while Just Fabulous could be anything; chances to many of the others - especially Freedom Seeker who gets the allies - will be running at them from a wide draw and not to be ignored for trifectas and quartets
R6: Princess Kesh does tick a lot of boxes and should handle the extra 400 - but again most of the rest do have some sort of a chance
R7: Very open F&M Handicap - as per the Computaform's comment - take your pick
R8: I really fancy Aragosta - coming back after a break, but this stable bring them back racing fit, so imo not a lot too worry about - good maiden win when finishing in front of Happy and Glorious (who beat Indelible subsequently) and imo should take a lot of beating; biggest danger I think is Flying Grace
R9: City By the Sea likes this track, but I think this is much more competitive and Theory of Flight will make him run, while Laird of Breedon is also very capable, so it may pay to ignore his last effort; Dark Tide also often thereabouts, but may prefer slightly shorter
Enjoy

Brandon is improving....I really like the way he kept the punters informed as to the wellbeing of the trapped horse and did not leave us in the dark to imagine the worst....he has also toned down his praises so in a few months he'll be more than capable...

100% Agree. Ali left impossible shoes to fill, but Brandon has definitely stepped up his game in the last few weeks. Would love to to get more of Nico back!
