Fair enough but my point is that this horse came to the races with some sort of problem, either injured, unfit or whatever and more should have been done at training before the horse comes to the course as it didn't give a true reflection of it's ability.

3 years 7 months agoThere we go Bayern.
Both favorites coming back from breaks, one since Feb the other June.
Crawford's horse had the longer break and comes back in top condition and wins easily while Adam Marcus's horse comes back and runs dismally.
That's what pisses me off, when trainers use a race as a training gallop and don't or don't know how to do enough work at home for the horse to give a decent showing at the races.
That was the first run for Marcus and the new owner - We do not know how long the horse has been with him - if the horse was injured after the last start or why the horse was sold - Those factors should have made you cautious
@ Durbs, punting horses is not for the feint at heart. I understand what you saying, hopefully you put the field in your multiple. Must admit, i didn't fancy the filly.

3 years 7 months ago - 3 years 7 months agoDe Melo on the fav.
Quite amazing, the jockeys have still not worked it out, coming off the bend and going down the inside (especially when you second to last) is the worst option you can take. For a minute there thought he'd switch out, but no, goes and find a wall of horses. Sometimes think theses okes need a couch to explain their mental block - not like the false rail is 10m out, jeez.

Had both favorites Bayern.
Yes it's not for the feint hearted but would be a bit easier if the trainers do enough work at home for the horse to run a decent race and not make the punters second guess if the horse is fit or not.
