A trainer should know how much work he needs to do with the horse before bringing it back to the races to run a decent race.
Universal ran last I think.
Yes Vardy was the horse he told us 5 minutes before the race that all wasn't well at home.
Odds on shot that day and ran out the money. Why race a horse knowing it's going to run badly?Races shouldn't be here to give a horse a training gallop.
There is a rule that states all horse should come to the races to try win, that's what the punter wants.
I do see what you saying about every horse is different but that is exactly why I think certain horses probably need more training than others and it's up to the trainer to do the necessary work.

Cape Racing needs to sort the colour in the pictures, looks like an Autumn day in Scotland.. Instead of a stunning day in Cape Town

Adam Marcus still got alot to learn when trying to bring a horse back from a break fit.
Universal ran a shocker and so did his other horse during the week that came back from a break.[/quote

this horse was carded to race a few weeks ago but i think that meeting was lost or he was scratched so he probably had no option but to run here - I think that even with a run he is not as high as rated at this point...

Young Marcus will pay for his error of last year, mark my words. He stuck the punters out out about 2 minutes before the off, his horse ran accordingly, anyone remember?
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

That was Vardy Bayern.
Yeah just before the off he tells the presenter the horse wasn't working well instead of scratching it.
Got a lot of stick for it but not even an enquiry by our stipes.
Blatantly bringing a horse to the races in poor condition doesn't even get looked into by our world class stipendiry stewards.

I am sure we are aware horses can make a fool of us all.

No ways that trainers want their horses to get beat as it’s their livelihood, and they need to keep their owners sweet.

Good Punting

In all walks of life the more you know the less often you will be made to look a fool.
In life most want to do well at school or sport or their job but not everyone has the ability to do so.

Is Adam Marcus the trainer or the face of the stable? I am pretty sure Dad still calls the shots in many of the big decisions. Give the lightie a break what were you doing at 23 or whatever age he is?

Obviously i don't know the horses fitness so won't comment on that... But watching the race again i don't think the horse helped matters.. Ran free early, had to be rushed up to try and settle him, looked a bit lost on the bends..

I would give the horse another chance as it looked like it was a bit much for him and don't forget this was a huge step up in class...
