Race Track: Turf. 2700m near-oval track. Races up to 1200m straight; beyond 1200m clockwise round turn with 800m run-in. Poly. 1800m near-oval circuit on inside of turf track with 400m run-in. All races clockwise round turn.

Best Draws: Turf: Low-number draws slightly preferred round turn. Poly: Low numbers preferred up to 1600m.

With the stakes "improved" to 200k, it will be business as usual for the Cape lads they just have too much firepower for the locals.

Some good racing with big fields lined up today. Expect fair share of really big upsets.

The rivalry between the EC and Cape trainers will probably be the highlight of the day

P6 looks like it will pay most handsomely, but will be very tough to catch with a small perm.

Always good with a little banter between provinces... at fairview the big talk is not a horse but who will win the most races , cape vs Pe ..... we alot of grooms and a few trainers that thrown our R50 in the kitty....whoever wins get the kitty to hold a braai together. I really think our pe guys will win atleast 5 races!! We had very light rain last 2 days. Track looks good and horses fantastic. Im very excited to see how we man up against the big guns. If we very competitive today you can suspect my stable raiding other provinces very soon as we will only have poly racing until January.
Hope you guys enjoy and i really hope we crack it today! Races 1 , 3 and 7 you should include my stable .

In fairness, Global Drummer and Santa Therese have beaten Cape runners before and top PE performers. That is 2 races down. Maybe they can make a bit of magic to win 3 more races to end up on top?
