3 years 6 months agoCoverage will be top class ! By end December you will see it . Most will be shocked at how interactive it will be and what info you will see on screen
I am sure it will be great, any idea if it will take the old Telly track slot 249 and overseas coverage, is it part of same channel?

More importantly will it be free to view.
Streaming may be great for the privileged, it dont help the R6 punters in the tote

i'm not sure if the tote offers free viewing if you have a telebet account(i don't have an account anymore as I found the service lacking and deposits and withdrawals painful) but that is the way to go - you can even add a condition of 4 bets per month for the free service...that would give you direct contact with your punters and move to a working digital platform that would cut down on staffing as punters can be taught to use online betting rather than call in or visit a branch - deposits through vouchers - or at least put races up on youtube 5 minutes after they run - a delayed visual is better than nothing for those punters not glued to seats in dirty unsafe outlets.

yes free streaming still available on the tote betting portal.....and even though I still have the free gift box....the reception during the slightest of inclement weather is affected badly....streaming at the moment a stone throw away from Marshalls in Umhlanga which is deader than a dodo......

On the subject of poor and bad signals.
My experience on racetracks in general ;
Scottsville, Turffontien, Greyville and Vaal.
The internet/wifi signal is shocking even if you have a password. You can try 4G MTN all poor.
At one stage in the owners and trainers the plan was to have computers to log on to your account.
Did not last but a good concept.
Press boxes are a disgrace if they actually exist.
Let's be honest most punters use a phone to punt and it's certainly not clever to take cash to the big T , in general tote prices on heavily fancied horses are much shorter and in fact shocking in many cases.
If you want people back on track make it easy and convenient to place bets especially for big exotics via the tote Using phones.
Give the punters a better service at the track and take away the frustration of poor signal.
That's just some thoughts for the new team.

No money Dave all used for the sectional timing which we haven't even got.
That family doing the sectional timing really took the piss and plenty money.

Now that there is no longer Phum can we say that racing has been de-corporatised? Can we say that racing has returned to club status?

I was on course (in a pvt suite) on Summer Cup day tried to log on to their wifi, you could only log on to Tabonline or Betting World,if you tried to log on to WSB it wouldn't allow you to.4Racing don't own Betting World anymore so why not give punters the option to bet with their preferred bookmaker, but whats more disgraceful is every time they need a sponsorship they run to WSB but have blocked them on their wifi.
