From Gavin Smith’s Facebook

RACE 1 : MAGIC TO THE FORE - Ignore last, enjoys track and trip, small EW chance. CRUCIAL - Showed improvement last time out and further improvement is expected.

RACE 2 : LORD MARMITE - Tries the cheek pieces, hoping they can do the trick. STAR EFFECT - Working well, expecting a better run.

RACE 3 : ROUTE SIXTY SIX - Ran a nice race last time out, she is doing well back at home and another good run is expected, small EW chance. FLOWER SELLER - Drops down to the 1400m poly which she should enjoy and we are hoping for some improvement.

RACE 4 : FERRARI ICE - Tries the step up to the 2200m poly which he should enjoy, he is putting up some decent work back at home and a good run is expected, EW chance. HIGHWAY STAR - Working well, he will need some luck in running from the wide draw.

RACE 5 : MAGIC BLAZE - Enjoys track and trip, he takes a step up in class, but does have a light weight to his advantage, EW chance. CRUZADOR - Also enjoys the 1000m poly, he is working well back at home and a good effort is expected, PLACE chance.

RACE 6 : ATKINSON GRIMSHAW - Ran a good race last time out and another fair effort is expected, PLACE chance. VISTA NOVA - Got interfered with in his last, he is working well and we are expecting a decent run, PLACE chance. STORM COMMANDER - Tries the 1300m with blinkers, expecting a fair effort, QUARTET chance.

RACE 7 : BLUE DUCHESS - Enjoys track and trip, she is doing well back at home and a improved run is expected, PLACE chance.

RACE 8 : JET MIRAGE - Put up a fair post maiden run, he jumps from a wide draw which is a disadvantage, but he is working well and will be running at them, QUARTET CHANCE. DOGLIOTTI - Working well, hoping for improvement.

With Cheyne up the horse has to be at least 25% better than the rest otherwise his lack of strength will get it beat or out the PA like we just saw with A Boy Named Sue.
Lucky he rides for Greeff who has the best horses in PE.

Tough one in race 5 with so many to choose from. Going to make a gut selection on Greeff's VICTORIA TOWER. Just feel there was more to come before the 84 day disappearance and a handy draw to boot...Good luck fellas. No place cover though and the price too thin. Will not place any money on it.

I'll add Kingston rock in the last to make it a black tie day.

Strong hand for Greeff again race 7 but I will go SB Kotzen and Mxothwa from the 1 draw on ENCRYPTION. Previous race I feel was too soon and too strong and T. Could executed well, therefore the "Examined-Normal" comment? All of the best boys!
