I'm with you - others that look well in on my ratings are Ivalo's Prince in the 2nd and Slings and Arrows in the 7th

Thoughts .....

R2: Ivalo's Prince ran to a higher mark last time - whether he can repeat is the question, still at the odds I prefer him to Prince of Fire, who is probably going to improve this trip - I make it between the two

R3: None of the raced runners are going to Hollywood - Lemme Go has scope for improvement, and in this field should feature; Mathis finding some support in the market, is drawn on the inside so who knows; Brief Crusade has his problems, but with the allowance will win this if he can find his best form from earlier (less than 5 lengths behind Alesian Chief  )

R4: Interesting contest; Gallic Chief looks a class above these on his 3rd behind Ambiorix in the Gold Medallion - first run up here though so not sure if he can re-capture that form; Grappler should hold Sea Virescent, is consistent and probably the safer option to find a place; Super Agra does get weight from the males and should be right there as well; Goliath Heron could upset them all - rating has dropped 19 points off his best and ran just more than 3 lengths off Pearl of Asia in January when rated 92

R5: Black Thorn has a lot going for him here; won this track and trip last time and I think he is ahead of the handicapper, so worthy favorite imo; I make stable mate The Kop the biggest danger, also likes this track but has to give BT 2 kgs; Raisethehallelujah next best

R6: War of Athena all the rage and has a favorite's chance, but the betting is all skewed imo; not a lot between her, Johnny Hero and Tierra del Fuego on their runs in the Summer Cup, while there also does not seem much between TdF and ExpressfromtheUS, who runs well this track and trip; then there is Malmoos - not at best recently, but has swept all before him in the Classics, so no one should be surprised if he return to his best and win this - blinkers may help

R7: Secretariat Stakes; Bureau des Legende in top form, but needs to give weight to some capable colts; I do think at the weights Slings and Arrows should make them run - less than a length behind Val d'Orcia (twice a winner since and rated 100) and less than 5 lengths behind Al Muhtana (ran in the Summer Cup rated 108); should not be a lot between Iron Will and Litigation, but both need to give weight to S&A and on line through Rain in Holland, both should be held by Look Yourself, who is also a bit of dark horse at these weights

R8: Very competitive; Funky Music very consistent and should find a place at least; Indus Knight lightly races and improving and does get weight from most, so big danger imo; Admiral Dooley on a line through Slings and Arrows may be better than rated, so chance as well with River Jordan, Riccardo and Sequoia

R9: Toughest race on the card; Procrastinator has dropped more than 20 points in the ratings and is my first choice from Blue Eyes, but for big players the field is the best only option to make sure of surviving the P6

Enjoy B)

Only one race today for me. Race 8

My reasoning is Funky Music has hardly showed improvement over the last few months even though trying hard. Maybe the D class is the solution but I can't bet on this horse. It was Riccardo's chance from the draw 1 and big drop in MR, today drawn 8. Cannot bet on this horse. Admiral Dooley has been trying to win its maiden since July, must be blown and cannot bet on this horse. Sequoia could be anything today and gets the 1 draw.

RIVER JORDAN is interesting with the shorter distance, drop in MR and much better draw. It is a 6 yo though and it will have to rely on the better circumstance to win. It does however look very similar to my runner earlier in the week for Tarry and Lerena. Today is certainly an opportunity. Takes on stronger though. Having an EW anyway. Good luck boys!

I am talking from my pocket - but what a shocking ride on Slings and Arrows - and I think the stable has lined this up for next time - was so far back and then still managed to almost run into another horse's backside 50 meters out :(
