Double :-
R7) Long White Cloud X (R9) Millahue
If Millahue wins, then have a good bet on Steinbeck next week.

Surely if tomorow the heat is the same as today they would have to do the right thing and postpone, no horse can run in this heatwave

It’s forecast to be 34 by midday.
It gets dark after 8pm, so the best option is to start at 4pm when it will be below 30, and finish by 8pm.

I assume Fundi the Pilot wont be there if she follows the lead of her predecessors and only lands for the glamour event.,On QP day which also experienced extreme temperatures ,she waffled on presenting the prizes for the best hat, best dressed, biggest dick, etc.,whist the horses paraded around aimlessly behind the stalls .
So much for the welfare of the horse.

Seems as if racing will go ahead despite the heat. Fortunately, my runner will be after 4pm when it will be around 29C.
There has been 80mm of irrigation the past week to keep the going reasonable, but will still be running fast with a light headwind.
Race 1 Red Kite has fair form and a good rider so looks the one to beat
Race 2 Too many first timers and the best performed horse that has run is scratched so no selection.
Race 3 Again too many first timers. Jayrani may be a pick 6 banker with 2 good runs and a significant jockey booking as one can ignore the unraced runners.
Race 4 Panzanella, Miss Greenlight and Little Miss Pink look the shortlist, although there are first timers and lightly raced runners that could pop up.
Race 5 There isn't much between Hinckley and Aeneas, and they should fight it out, but I will include Double Duet and the filly High Dudgeon in the exotics.
Race 6 Our mare, Fynbos is fit and well and we are expecting a good run. Cut down to just 5 runners, so the pace could be suspect which would not suit us as she runs on from behind. Very open race, and I think that the one to beat is French Declaration.
Race 7 Long White Cloud is still on the up with just 4 races under the belt and is a worthy favourite. The main danger is Symphony of Light which disappointed last time after two good wins.
Race 8 Very open race if Mr Master Starter does not win. He is down in class and did not have a trouble free run in the Guineas when well beaten, but still ran above his current rating. However, he is giving weight to some up and coming fellow 3yos, and I like the look of Blizzard off just a 79 rating. Secret Oasis is another that looks better than his current rating.
