SCOTIA ON THE EMERALD CUP WEEKEND.

Good morning to the CLAN and hope we are all positive with the wheeling and dealings of our politicians?
I was walking through a manufacturing plant this week and an old friend came to greet me beaming from ear to ear, he said he was a very happy man that Mbeki had gone and they could get back to tradition? He elaborated to tell me that this 50/50 with the wife was nonsense and that he was the man of the house and he had paid lobola and that when he comes home at 2.00 in the morning his woman must make him food and was very convincing.
I am trying to arrange a meeting with him and Mrs S as I think a few snacks in the early hours of the morning might be a nice touch after an evening with the boys as I find the couch, just next to the dog box rather uncomfortable.
Some competitive racing from Ascot today, but I am looking forward to the Saturdays racing where Rainbow View is a cert for all exotics going for 4 in a row and in the big race a mouth-watering clash between Henrythenavigator and Tamayuz where I just have the feeling that O'Brien and Murtagh might not just have it all their own way.
Haydock today where Sunniva Diva is the banker and over the jumps where McCoy is the man to follow.
On the local scene, Arlington today and the big Vaal meeting on Saturday where Braggadacio should lift the Emerald Cup.
Horses for sale on the Forum, check the post from Mike Kelly a good positive read with respect to our racing.
On the International front Zarkava still the one for the ARC and down under, Weekend Hussler is still the talk of the town and the Caulfield Cup and the Cox Plate are the targets, but the Melbourne Cup could well be the property of O'Brien and Murtagh with Septimus.
Its the last day of our competition on Saturday with blackpearl, and next week we start the hollywood challenge, plus a few Summer Cup specials to publish next week and not forgetting the Julie Alexander charity day with Interbet, so plenty to look forward to and some great prizes to be won on the build up to Christmas.
Good punting and may your God be with you
