If the top trainers like him enough yes. Its all about the rides you get. L Mohapi can win it with the right rides and friendly trainers. But there is always an apprentice in favour for a season or two. Lyle Hewitson an example. Venniker cracked the nod this season.

Agree with one of the fellow Clanners...all about the rides one gets...yes, it is earned based on performance...

In the end, a jockey riding at 55kgs should be stronger in the finish than a jockey riding at 50kgs and a male riding at 53kgs should be stronger than a female riding at 53 kgs...I stand corrected as some other factors like balance come into play...

Wish her well...been a good start to a, hopefully, long and successful career...think her career win % (13,75 per Gallop) is higher than Hewitson's (13,56 per Gallop)...
