Jet Master Late Maturers

Woodruff when interviewed this morning said something along the lines of the Jet Masters being late maturers.

How can this be right when in his freshman year he was the top sire of 2 year olds?

In spite of some of them being precocious, most are over-sized, raw-boned types that need time and are better later rather than earlier.
