What is the purpose of the post race interview's?

After each race a lot of effort is made to interview the connections of the winning horse. In most cases we get to hear from the jockey, the assistant trainer and possibly the groom as the owners are not on track.

Most these interview do nothing to assist the racing public to make better choices for the days racing still to come.

i understand on big race days with trophy presentations and a higher number of owners and trainer on track to do the work
However most other days more time spent getting interviews from trainers pre race would be more use to the racing public.

Scrap post race interviews!

Nico mentioned in the post race review that Van Zyl did not think Crimson Causeway was at her best today and was apologetic that he did not tell the punters ...Why? That was information he had and did not share (I did not back her but others did)

All Nico is doing is singing for his supper (post race interview after Race 1 - singing Sakkie's praises), mentioning his partner in crime Andrews etc etc. What we need is transparency and brutal honesty, not from post-race merchants!.

Watch how he is going to sing Mary's praises after race 7 - he may just forget to do the post-race analysis, because she is on-course. Singing for his supper.

Nico is coming across like Andrew Bon use to come across in the Jooste era. Bonski use to blow clouds of smoke up his interviewee's asses, they were visibly uncomfortable in on-camera interviews - stopping short of coughing.

Nico is looking like Bonski version 1.01 in relation to a asphyxiation due to excess smoke entering the body through unconventional orifices.

Is this against the rules of racing?

Can someone check the NHA rules if running without a hope in hell is fair to the public !!!

I can just picture the scene that he tells everyone the horse is not well and then the horse shits in.

If you do ever get the chance to lead in a winner the best feeling ever is to watch the replay and interview over and over again........

The purpose is Marketing the sport and its participants through giving recognition to the winners, their connections and some exposure for the sponsors.
Like everything else, it needs to be done effectively, and the quality of the presenters is a key ingredient.
During the restrictions of the past two years clearly has had less impact.
