A Joni Mitchell Winner In Dubai ?

I'm guessing that the winner of the big sprint in Dubai - A Case Of You - was named after the Joni Mitchell song of the same name from her 1970 'Blue' album; widely regarded as her finest release. The album is also credited with changing the face of songwriting as, apart from Bob Dylan, most songwriters focused almost all their efforts on creations lauding their latest conquest or women they were hoping to bed.

For the benefit of the younger clan members Joni released 'Blue' after her emotionally traumatic breakup with Graham Nash who was intially with the Hollies and thereafter went onto even greater success as part of Crosby, Stills, Nash & (intermittently) Neil Young. The group was, along with Cream, ( Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker & Jack Bruce) largely acknowledged as amongst the first of the so-called Supergroups of its era.

I must admit to feeling a slight twinge as, had I still punted (which I no longer do [thank you Phumelela & 4Racing] ), I would have certainly speculated a small bet on the horse as I have often enjoyed significant success placing bets which have nothing to do with form..........sometimes not that much of an act of madness in big sprint races in particular.

Lyrics and some explanatory notes in brackets :

Just before our love got lost you said
"I am as constant as a northern star"
And I said, "Constantly in the darkness
Where's that at?
If you want me I'll be in the bar"
On the back of a cartoon coaster
In the blue TV screen light
I drew a map of Canada (Joni is a Canadian)
Oh, Canada
With your face sketched on it twice
Oh, you're in my blood like holy wine
You taste so bitter and so sweet
Oh, I could drink a case of you, darling
And I would still be on my feet
Oh, I would still be on my feet
Oh, I am a lonely painter
I live in a box of paints ( Joni has always regarded herself as a painter who happens to sing)
I'm frightened by the devil
And I'm drawn to those ones that ain't afraid
I remember that time you told me
You said, "Love is touching souls"
Surely you touched mine
'Cause part of you pours out of me
In these lines from time to time
Oh, you're in my blood like holy wine
You taste so bitter and so sweet
Oh, I could drink a case of you, darling
Still I'd be on my feet
I would still be on my feet
I met a woman
She had a mouth like yours
She knew your life
She knew your devils and your deeds
And she said, "Go to him, stay with him if you can
But be prepared to bleed" ( Joni was experiencing doubts over her decision to dump Graham Nash)
Oh, but you are in my blood
You're my holy wine
You're so bitter
Bitter and so sweet
Oh, I could drink a case of you, darling
Still I'd be on my feet
I would still be on my feet
