Kenilworth, 06/04

Rowing in with Trip Of Fortune, R3. Has competed against decent company and beaten some good sorts. Reverting back to the minimum distance, not ideal, hoping the blinkers and his class get him home.

Played the double with Stiptelik, R7.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Camille Claudel

Distance: 1200m

Comments: Nice filly with ability but may just need her first run. She could well run on into the frame though.

Fun Zone

Distance: 1200m

Comments: First run back after a break, she has strengthened up well now and could be competitive here if she doesn’t need it too much. Include

Master Of Africa

Distance: 1200m

Comments: Still a bit soft, but he shows ability and should run a fair race on debut.

Mr Cobbs

Distance: 1000m

Comments: He is also prepping for the Computerform sprint, He ran a cracking race in the Cape Flying Championship and as such must be highly respected here.

African Rain

Distance: 1000m

Comments: Prep run for the Computerdom sprint, fit and well and he should be fighting this out.

Trip Of Fortune

Distance: 1000m

Comments: Perhaps the best on ability from our charges, and he should be the horse to beat here.

Barcelona

Distance: 1000m

Comments: Doing really well at home and we wouldn’t be surprised if he flashes home in front at the weights. Include in all bets.

Whatsinadream

Distance: 1600m

Comments: Doing very well and will go close. Good Each Way Shout.

Global Goddess

Distance: 1600m

Comments: A better draw this time and expecting a much improved race from her here.

Sun Dazed

Distance: 1400m

Comments: Blinkers fitted, Aldo in the irons and he will have a good winning chance . Value!

Marmalisa

Distance: 1200m

Comments: She has a big weight to shoulder after a break, but she never runs a bad race and hoping she can be competitive here.

We have had quite a lot of rain yesterday and overnight. There should be no problem with racing but course will be soft.

Could explain why Trip Of Fortune is shortening all the while, 3 from 3 in the wet.

Race 3 Some smart horses line up here. Trip of Fortune may find this a bit sharp but must be respected. Mr Cobbs much improved this season and should be right there. None can be ignored here, and an interesting roughie is Skidoo on bottom weight.
Race 4 Naushon has a tough draw to overcome but is on the up and is a narrow first choice. Navy Strength and Petrossian have solid form and should be in the shakeup. Futurismo lightly raced and scope for improvement, and the two Brett Crawford runners can go into the quartet.
Race 5 Our filly Treasure Hunt is holding form well but has a wide draw. If she were drawn well I would give her a strong winning chance. An open race.
Race 6 Another open contest. Ragnar Lothbrok very disappointing last time but I’ll give him another chance. Chollima drops back in trip and may be suited.
Race 7 Another open race - my shortlist is Stiptelik, Dad’s Catch and Winter Mosiac.
Race 8 Pity that Silver Salmon is scratched- looked like he was coming back to form last time. Trivial Matter is on the up and looks the one to beat. Persistance is quick but is a 1000m specialist. Captain Dizzy should be respected.

3 Trip Of Fortune 1.82 1.67 1.52 1.11
5 Barzalona 6.67 6.25 6.67 7.14 8.33 10.00

Not what you want to see in horse racing.
Heavily backed only to be beaten by it's stable companion, probably 50m behind that one.
But as SA racing motto, that's horse racing.

Not an ARM but i thought Barzalona was value getting 6kgs from Trip of Fortune and as such made it my next best on the day on the nap thread , that's the great thing about horseracing sometimes your opinion actually works out

NHRA not taking action when these short price favorites run poorly is a major challenge. The trainers should be held to account.
