How's that finish from Homer Fidget, jock on Marsh Marigold thought he had it and took it a bit too easy I think.
Stipes will have a look at this I reckon.

What is your favourite bet?
Looking at the pools the die hards and reinharts have left, surely bad for the future.

Cheyne's ride there was a disgrace. Had he ridden the horse out to the line, he wins. Absolute shocker. He deserves a decent holiday for that. he's not an Appie. Wake up Greg Cheyne.

Shot to Zietsman on fantastic treble yesterday .Also great run for the boys on St Patricks Day finishing second over an untried distance .Might have to change the name to ATM machine. Just carry on your good work Zietsman. At least everybody can see your passion for your stable and owners after great days like yesterday on your interviews. Bliksem.

I like your āI thinkā comment.
How does this ride from Greg Cheyne compare to JPās ride in Singapore that earned him 12 month suspension on Fast and Fearless?
Greg Cheyne deserves a proper holiday and 12 months would be way too lenient. He is one of a handful of riders that leave punters and owners scratching their heads too often from questionable decisions that he makes in the saddle. And he gets away with it far too often and too lightly with his antics.
THIS RIDE DESERVES A THREAD ON ITS OWN. And hopefully Deputy Jud can get his boy to act swiftly from the NHA helm and keep us posted on the developments.
PS. I did catch the exactas that paid a handsome R35 bucks, so hereās the answer whether Iām talking from my pocket.

JP's ride the stipes thought he should have asked his horse to go earlier so he misjudged his finish.
Cheyne stopped riding as he thought he had the race won and probably had a heart attack when he saw the other horse.
Doubt either where done on purpose though.
Then we have hundreds of questionable rides at the Drak Gardens course where jocks sit 3 or 4 wide the whole way without trying to get in,move around to get handier spot not so far off the rail or go back and try slot in.
You telling me the jocks don't know that racing wide causes the horse to cover more distance?
I have seen this happen in 6 horse fields.
The easiest way to get a horse beat is too make it travel a further distance than the rest and the explanation to the stipes would be simple,I couldn't get in.
Do some do it on purpose so the horses MR goes down and the connections can have a punt when they think the horse is ready and in the right field?
If so that is what I call not giving the horse every chance to win but it's really hard for the stipes to prove it.
Our rubbish stakes are probably the main reason for this.To stay in business some connections need a good betting coup to come off.
