There is just so much wrong in this sentence however correct it proves to be.

Six months would be a proper deterrent

What's this "Maiden Special Weights" ? re inventing the wheel?

It seems a Maiden handicap for horses that has raced with ratings. If no rating, 60kgs is assigned. Do not know if unraced horses can run.

In America though its a Maiden with level weights with WFA.

As per the programme.

For all Maidens Weights: 60kg to be determined by the highest nett rated horse, for all merit rated horses below the highest nett rated horse, weight to be determined from 60kg downwards, using 2 merit rating points = 1 kg Unrated C&G and Fillies to carry 60kg 2-year-old Allowance of 5.0 kg will apply to unrated horses Sex Allowance of 3.5 kg for unrated Fillies Subject to a minimum weight of 50kg for 2-year-olds, and 52kg for 3-year-olds and older.
