I have tried to keep away from events not related to racing over the last few weeks but I felt I should post another one of my favourite songs from the past.
"THE WEIGHT" was a song written by Robbie Robertson of the BAND, they have been on the go forever and at one stage were a back up for Bob Dylan .
The thought process of the lyrics for " the weight" are as follows :
" the load that we shoulder when we take on responsibility or when we try to do good".
We have to do something to take responsibility for the heartbreaking current events on the planet:
Ukraine.;
Mass killing of children in the States ;
Child mutilated for muti parts;
ANC, Eskom and "brought to book" via our Judiciary system means never;
KZN floods and looting;
Covid, Monkey Pox .......etc
It's early but I need a drink π₯
Let's get back to racing where we still have a power struggles and we all hope that sanity prevails.
I will say that I had to go back to 3 and 4 pages and a couple of weeks on the site daily posts to find a comment regarding 240 racing channel.
You may recall we had 3 main headings on the subject of 4 racing .
Split screen, sign petition and 240 shown in Africa.
Here are some stats :
114 comments and 4946 views, 33 comment and 1969 views and 36 comments and 1507 views.
A total of 183 comments and 8422 views and not one positive at that time.
Using the site as a barometer channel 240 must be doing something right as no news is good news via the forum.
We have plenty good racing both locally and Internationally over the next few weeks.
We are giving Humble another chance after his improve effort yesterday.
Hope that Perfect Witness runs well for the stable on Saturday and I fancy Safe Passage to make Pomp and Power have to pull out all the stops.
Looking forward to the big sprint meeting from HW Scottsville next week where Captains Ransom, Miss Cool, Prophet and Cosmic Highway should top the boards in a very competitive days racing.
Not much change on overseas markets where Emily Upjohn still tops the Oaks boards and hope you managed to get 2/1 π π

After last night's impressive performance Bay Bridge is fav for Prince of Wales.
What could be the race of the meeting is the Coronation Stakes where Homeless Songs could bump Inspiral .
