.....yet still not my poison....:whistle: ....big black type is sometimes an over hype....as it gets the breeders big bucks and owners a sea of heartache....8 runs to crack a maiden....could have done better with a bargain basement buy....:dry:.....cruel game this....no guarantees on getting what you pay for.....lets see if he can prove that he has mommy's gene's.....however I make that race wide open....

Trainer R R Magner was charged with a contravention of Rule 72.1.46, in that he, as the Trainer responsible for HOLLYWOODBOUND, TEAM GOLD, THE MAKWAKKERS and ROLLWITHTHEPUNCHES, raced these horses within seven (7) days of an intra-articular corticosteroid injection.

Trainer R R Magner signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R 60,000.00 was imposed.

.....not specific enough to be for joints only....as corticosteroid is also present in certain preparations and treatment used for upper respiratory infections....cure a cough, treat excess mucus....doubt that all these horses were actually tested but the administration of medication may have been reported/ found by officials checking the vets register....:ohmy:

Let me qualify then...sick horses should not run....I have had numerous high doses of cortisone when I was sick ...joints and other far serious problems and they take a toll on your body.... there is obviously a valid reason for the 7 day rule.... the other thing is long term steroid use damages your body

.....true.... however I do not believe that old man Magner only just started using and running horses under this medication but may have been doing it for some time.....you go to the stables and have several snotty noses and in the past have gotten the vet around and in a day or 2 no more runny noses and run them and they do not seem to have been affected.... so it becomes part of your regimen.....however old man Roy has been caught in the past with anabolics in his possession....and is of recent in a rich vain of form.....and may have attracted the NHRA attention to pay a visit to try find the reason for this form.... on not finding the "hard" stuff checked the medication register and fined him accordingly.....pity that they do not go to other stables where anabolics are actually being used.....:whistle:

.....not defending old Roy as he is foolish to even try to take the chance or disregard the rules ....but now that the NHRA have been mandated to try fund themselves they are simply going for the "low hanging fruit" ....yet there are still bigger fish that are getting away with using really nasty totally banned sh!t ....:ohmy:

.....finally Forward Spell wins...and may follow up as it seems to have enjoyed the trip....
