When are they going to throw in the towel?

No disrespect to the SABC in comparing them to 4 Racing on Channel 240. SABC commenced broadcasting on TV in 1976 and 4 Racing commenced broadcasting on Channel 240 in Jan 2022.

The total combined blackouts on SABC since 1976 to present day will be less than 4Q's Channel 240 blackouts for 6 months of their existence.

Hand it over to someone who has a clue about what they are doing.

.....the other day....my Gallop TV picture went totally black.... ....I flicked over to not4U GR1 feed and it was Ok and flicked back a second later and still blank...but before I could hit the keyboard their picture and sound were back...however on many an occasion especially in the mornings the GR1 picture freezes or blacks out....I knock back the coffee leash the dog and go out for a walk and may even go shopping and when returning come back to find the very same frame frozen on the TV....:S

.....no problem here....

Set in my ways and since the whole saga began with the demise of TT, I have once or twice accessed GallopTV from my 'device' (laptop in my case) - as I somehow was lead to believe that the only way to watch KZN racing (on those rare occasions that I do want to watch it) would be via GallopTV.

But I obviously misunderstood, as one can now happily watch KZN racing on Channel 240 on Dstv - so I can't see the need for accessing GallopTV from my device - and imo the coverage on Channel 240 has greatly improved - I'm probably lucky as I have only on very few occasions experienced a 'frozen picture' - yes a couple of times there was an issue with the sound - but seems to have been sorted out - so for me to watch racing, I switch on my TV and there it is ;)

.....and maybe then they might just make similar progress and fix their feed freeze on GR1 signal too....but fear that the problem may be a deeper issue and the Crenova set up and the broadcast thereof on the Russian owned Gazprom satellite Yamal 2 days are numbered....the last thing I need is to have to go back to the DSTV platform with my tail between my legs....

.....up with the sparrows yet again.....and since 05am00 a black blank screen on GR1....nothing... nada.. zip... f@ckall
....however on the GR1 stream on the tote site there is a picture and after watching 10 min of ads with p!ss poor sound finally a race from Ozz....but wait a minute why would one watch it on the laptop....as I look up to my 48" not so smart TV.....a brilliant picture on Gallop TV crisp sound and through the Crenova decoder....I flip back to the not4U offering on the same platform....and it is still blacked out.....I just wonder how the top tote bettors that all got these things feel about supporting the tote now....
