looking at the breeding , both sire and dam,

the name was determined and then was the cross found..
just a bit of humour on a very subjective topic.

but i agree very distasteful , to say the least.

on a side issue apart from this, when i had time and going through racecards growing up, i used to be intrigued by how clever some horses were named with reference to their sire/ dam.

the one that stood out was a horse called Tottenham....sire White Heart Lane
