Brandon at the Track
2 years 10 months ago
It is a breath of fresh air to have Brandon on course for racing - Really makes otherwise mundane races seem exciting, whether he is commentating or previewing.
Not sure on his preferences, but if he doesn't mind, they should really get him to the course more often than he is producing or being a presenter in studio - A bit of a waste of his talents, and Clyde and Lyall do any okay enough job presenting. Enjoying the commentaries today, for a change.

Just catching up and have to agree .
Good team, comments and commentary 👌
Plus enjoying different camera work .
Going for a bacardi lime and coke but would have preferred Cane Lime and Soda 😪

Agreed, Brandon is great, love his energy. Makes one want to listen to him. Together with Ali they can commentate and present with aplomb

He is a workhorse. Full shift this morning in studio and now off to the track. Don't overwork our boy! Great job done today.

......although Brandon is exuberant and enthusiastic and is good for the game in getting the uninitiated more involved ...he however is not my cup of tea either....nor are many others both old and new....very few get un muted.... only listen in when Alicat is on.... as he is head and shoulders above what is on offer....

This oke is special.
"straight into the black book for me" was the repeated statement by Brandon after Tamarisk Tree won Turffontein Race 3.
Brandon, go back for the last 30 years and look at the winners of the 3rd race at Turffontein - whether any of these winners were noteworthy. You will be looking for a needle in a haystack. Moderate is the best description of the horses that make up the 3rd race at Turffontein.
Some producer needs to pull his or her finger out and prep and educate the guys in front of the camera - blowing smoke surely is not the only thing on offer on 4Q TV.
PS. I backed the horse at 12's and better - Moderate is what the opposition looked like - not to dissimilar to the post race commentary from Turffontein.

Tamarisk Tree gets his second win after blowing out in the betting. Beat horses rated 106 and 108 and was out at the weights. Maybe could be better than we think....
