Short sharp shock
Race one.
Shows pace in most of her starts.
Thought she would enjoy the heavy going today,if the jock gets a big enough lead others will struggle to run on.
2/1 back up for 4th place hollywoodbets.net
Hear My Voice
Race two
Could win this race easily.
If using last start tactics, stable have been turning out the winners.

Thoughts .... as mentioned by many, we have a heavy track - so not a card to wager the rent money on - still there will be 8 winners by the end of the day
R1: Anyone's guess - draw may prove significant - Gimme More Time has cracked the inside draw, but does not seem to be the stable elect; Rogue Male does seem to be the best runner from the Wrench stable, but has drawn wide - definitely a race where I would just hope to survive the BP
R2: Not a lot of confidence from the Bass-Robinson stable, Speed Ratings suggest there is nothing between Gold Poker Game and Hunting Trip - while Rafeef's Choice actually achieved a higher figure in a smaller field - Hunting Trip comes from the inside draw, so could be the right one
R3: Bullitt tries 1200 after running on well in both his starts on soft conditions over 1000, stand-side draw with Doubling Up who made a very pleasing debut over 1000 as well; Teatro on the other hand comes back in trip, but like his 2 rivals has shown that he can handle soft conditions - as per the betting I think any of the 3 can win it and it would be a big surprise if something else challenges for the win
R4: Future Turn overdue and should prove hard to beat imo - only slight doubt could be that last 50m on a heavy track; Masterful Guy has been close up in 2 of his last starts on soft ground; then Naushon has run his best races over 1800, but with the heavy ground he may outrun them late; some market support for Allez Moris - needs to improve, but must be showing good work at home
R5: A 'special' Maiden - meaning a Maiden Handicap - very peculiar that 5 of them (including the outsider Bella Mo) are handicapped joint top - so it seems one needs the field in the P6 and JP
R6: Very open handicap again - even Izapha (tries blinkers and seems the stable elect from riding arrangement) at the bottom of the boards not without hope
R7: Open yet again - Ragnar Lothbrok and La Vida both proven on a soft track and would be my top 2, but again a case could be made for many.
R8: After the scratchings, it does seem to lie between Twice the Flo and Fly Better; problem is both of these started at long odds (100/1 and 50/1 respectively) in their last starts - but the same can be said for their most of their opposition; obvious dangers are Ola Bombshell and Turkish Kelim who could both improve in their second starts
Enjoy

Re: Kenilworth 20/08/2022
2 years 9 months agoTHIS IS A CARD TO BE VERY CAUTIOUS ON.
There’s been heavy rain at Kenilworth this week and as a result we have a pen of 31, which makes the going heavy. This is a lot softer than the previous maximum pen (27) this winter season and horses are going to find it a real slog. Form reversals are almost certainly going to occur.
There hasn’t been a draw bias up the Kenilworth straight thus far this winter, but small draws can be dramatically advantageous when the going is heavy, so I would be looking for a bias in the early races to see if there is an edge to be found there.
Race 4: Maiden 1600m
There is very little separating #1 MASTERFUL GUY (15-4) and #4 FUTURE TURN (11-20) on a line through Galactic Path and Royal Port Louis. #1 MASTERFUL GUY is battling to break his maiden and is hardly one to have a lot of confidence in, but he has handled soft ground well and heavy going is unlikely to be a problem. He was narrowly pipped over CD last time and he is far better value than the Fav considering how closely matched they are on form, so he’s first choice. #6 ALLEZ MORIS (11-2 in from 7-1) is related to horses with some decent ability and his breeding suggests he’ll relish this trip. I’ve stated previously that this stable is capable of getting big improvement out of their runners from run one to run two and he is therefore very much respected. #2 NAUSHON (15-4) has disappointed and I do have concerns that he may prefer a sound surface, so I can’t have major confidence in him.
#4 FUTURE TURN is very obviously a big runner here, but I expect a major drift in his price as he is far too short in the early market. As a potential banker for many players, I therefore have to oppose him, although he has to be included in tote bets. At the price, I’M AGAINST HIM.
SELECTION: 1-6-4
