In my opinion the two local Jackpots should compromise,
Races 1 to 4
Races 5 to 8
And on the big days a third Jackpot
Races 9 to 12
In America and Australia their commingling partner always have an early Jackpot.
At the moment almost everytime three legs of our two Jackpots are the same. If you out in one, you do probably go out with the other Jackpot as well.

Why not Tab give it a try. Trial run on a weekend meeting perhaps.
On July Day, Summer Cup and Met..... 3 Jackpots.
Spread the cheer.

.....may be a shorter meeting but still more quality there than any other centre at this point in time.....and according to Glen Kotzen in his most recent interview on SP.....Durbanville track is firming up and not worth risking better sorts there so he and some others are waiting for Kenilworth meetings to step out some of the really good stuff.....

The Kaapies cannot compare the Dbnville track to what the Vaalies race on from May to August.
Rock hard tracks that go brown with all the frost and sleet in Winter.

Re: Honeymoon over? HOLLYWOODBETS DURBANVILLE 12 OCTOBER 2022
2 years 7 months ago.....I'm sure that no one is trying to compare apples with oranges here...yes we have crappy winter tracks and thus race less performing harder knocking horses for poor stakes so that the operators can get their rake through some of us compulsive sorts that will punt anything.....but the Cape boys and girl have every right to be picky....and as I have posted earlier that there has always been a stigma with Durbanville being too hard especially in the dryer months.....and their bonanza in bigger prize money is going to boost field sizes for many horses that still need to be introduced where they do not have to go around a bend to have their 1st runs.....:whistle:Xxxxcxxccccxxxxcxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.....may be a shorter meeting but still more quality there than any other centre at this point in time.....and according to Glen Kotzen in his most recent interview on SP.....Durbanville track is firming up and not worth risking better sorts there so he and some others are waiting for Kenilworth meetings to step out some of the really good stuff.....![]()

.....and from the recent Taking the reins interview.....trainer Vaughn Marshall is very strong on the good looking grey Professor Snape in Race 2....but is not that happy with racing him at Durbanville.....will watch the 1st race to see if track is OK....then have a stab....

Sunny day, little wind, fast course.
Race 1 Tricky contest where anything can win. The betting seems accurate but nothing stands out in a small field.
Race 2 maiden SW. Global Movement looks well weighted against the younger horses. Ready or Not, Professor Snape and Nevada King look best of the younger brigade, but the latter two have tough draws.
Race 3 We have Soft Touch running. Very poor effort last week, but was chased up from a wide draw and caught very wide- the jockey dropped his hands halfway down the straight. She is much better than that and has a better draw this time. On her penultimate run against the hot pot favourite, Rafeef's Choice, we are 3.5kg better off for just 2 lengths, so the betting 16/1 vs 7/10 looks wrong. Destined to Dance also is a runner at the weights.
Race 4 Quite a few with chances in another MSW. I'm in the camp of Quasimodo. Jumps from a nice draw and hopefully will get a fair pace and will be staying on stoutly. Stable companion Future Turn is very consistent but must give 5kg. Spirit of Silvano should run into the money.
race 5 I have backed Shavout his last two, and will be sticking with him at the weights. The handicapper has now caught up with Galactic Path but he is very game and consistent. A few others with chances.
Race 6 Champion Warrior very impressive debut and is the one to beat if he makes the expected improvement, but very open if he fails.
race 7 Silvano's dasher won easily over a trip short of his best, and clearly needed the gelding. I expect him to win again over this trip. Voldemort, Bright Green and Runaway Song for the quartets.

Peut Etre Moi on the way it looked going to the start
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

From Bass website:
Jack Ryan: Improved a lot at home and should run a hoping to finish close up here.
Having an EW with that low weight, don't leave out of qrts.
