Thanks A_Paul_Ling. Cocoa Beach and Rexana would have done my some real money favours if they had run. I know rexana did run but apparently did not get the best ride. Was on Swinger on Hollybucks though which paid off (Hyperthetically)

judging by the result of the race I think Cocoa Beach would have been a massive runner

Cocoa Beach, Not when it is 'lame'. what was the reason for the scratching? If it had raced the horse would have been unplaced, thats why the trainer scratched.
BUT understand what you mean.

Shot Power.

Basil Marcus is a transparent trainer (USO programs) and I think that he scratched his runners (Pele Pele also scratched) as they are probably all under done due to the shitty weather that they have been having at Milnerton. I have huge respect for this yard because of things like this. Punters would have got stuck into an underdone horse.

Please note that this is an assumption and Puffin would probably be able to tell us more.

Yip, her blood count was way out, been some viruses cruising around and rather than take a chance we decided to scratch.Too risky, she is too nice a filly....bigger fish to fry later on.

Shot Puffin - Cant wait for later on. This will be the first horse whose career I follow all the way. Hope to see her in flesh in the KZN season.

She hasnt had the best of luck as far as runs go.

There we go boys - stand up trainer with a real love for the game and the animals that compete in it.

Sad to see Links go but I am glad that he gets an opportunity to spread his wings against the big boys. Is he not a right hooved horse though - Greyville vs Kennilworth and Nad El Sheba. I suppose he won the cup trial around the left hand turn at Clairwood. (and he did it easily too) Hopefully we get some 50/1 as some did with Peg, when Links arives in Dubai.

Will be watching for Peg with interest. I am sure that he will do his best as usual. I am glad that you have decided to not race him off those undulating UK courses too much. Can do more harm than good IMO. I am sure that Basil would be able to guide you on the courses in the UK though.

Cant wait to see Cocoa in KZN. Also cant wait to see a price of over 5/1 (will it ever happen is the question?)
