Let's not Beat around the Bush Racing

One of these horses was beaten 99L + then ran at this bush meeting a few days later

Was sent this last week and told to watch for suspensions

Also hearing some of the list were winners

Hard to believe no comments on this post... I thought fucking about with known form would be of interest to you guys

.....so it seems that these are PE horses that were trying to earn a few sheckels moonlighting at a bush bash....fine the trainer/s suspend the horses which no doubt will end their careers if they had any there to begin with....and they will become cart horses and maybe transport for the people living in poverty and land up in a stew....some okes there claim to be horsemen....shame on you....

Seen videos of these meetings ... Bigger crowds than the summer cup and Cape racing will get

No wonder these guys are hidden from the main stream

I would question the ownership, the trainer and if any Jockeys or work riders.

Trainer should be suspended, Owners should be fined, jockeys fines or suspensions.

We’ve had a lot to do with EC bush racing through the Horse Care Unit and those guys look after their horse very well. Some are in better condition than some in NHA training yards .Even rehoming through the Unit when they feel that the horses are finished racing.

This is a whole new ballgame …greed and trainers that see a quick buck by “renting” the horses out for a meeting. And both trainers and renters in this way taking money from the good guys that eat, sleep and breathe their horses

You cannot get a horse in or out of Sveld, Ashburton, Vaal, Turffontein or Randjes without security paperwork . Why is there nothing registered about these horses in and out either by security or the trainers. Hyde and Moodley blinkers on with closed cups….Once again totally ignoring their motto.

Sly can you put a line through the Turners horses it’s looking like a case of the NHRA error again 🤦🏼‍♂️From Michael Turner “The steam coming out of my head I don’t mind if we have done wrong what gets to me is NHA have not updated there paperwork it should not matter if Jaques does not hand in his inventory from but what should be done is that the check up on it but they don’t do there work properly as far as I can see is NHA need to be held accountable”

Unauthorised Racing Meeting

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that its Officials conducted a visit to an unauthorised race meeting near Idutywa in the Eastern Cape on Sunday, 30 October 2022.

It was established that 33 thoroughbred racehorses participated at this race meeting, several of which had recently left the care of licensed Trainers.

In terms of Rule 93.2.1, the horses have been suspended for a period of 180 days as they participated at an unauthorised race meeting.

The regulation of unauthorised race meetings is not up to the standard of race meetings under the Rules of the NHA and there are multiple associated concerns in relation to horse welfare. The traceability of the horses that participated at this unauthorised race meeting is currently being looked into and where applicable, action will be taken against offending persons under the Rules.

The names of horses that have been suspended have been published in the Racing Calendar, dated 4 November 2022, with additions to be published in this week’s edition.

In my humble opinion this penalty is incorrect.

To penalize the horse by suspending it for 6 months in not severe enough.

If the Trainers, Assistant trainers, owners, work riders, vets farriers etc involved need to be sanctioned.

Fined , warned off etc.

NHRA is not delivering on its mandate.
