Khumalo refuses to ride a horse once at the start take two

I find this an extremely disturbing trend.

How can it be that a jockey can over ride the trainer and the Vet.

Betting pools are severely impacted when this happens. Deductions/Refunds etc

We are all very aware of corruption and manipulation , Jocks cant take bets , cant have a phone in the jockeys room etc.

But this has now happened twice in a few months with the same jock riding the backed Favorite.

What is the NHRA doing to prevent this from happening in the future????

I did hear that Bling refused and this time they could not find a suitable jock and it was a fairly heavily punted horse if not mistaken?

I can't remember that in overseas races ?

the 1st one he did NOT RIDE was a Spies runner, & if I'm not mistaken....... I think MUZI WON on the horse !

That is correct but to date I do not remember the stipes raising this burning issue in their reports. JP vd Merwe did the very same thing at starting stalls.

Leave Khumalo alone - He is one of the few jockeys that actually ride for the punters out there.

Top jockey and if he thinks the horse is not fit to race , what does that say about the vet who passes it ?

Marcus used to ask the vet to check horses all the time, and insist they scratch if he did not feel all is right. Don't know how this is any different, and I sure as fuck would not like my money to be on any horse that a pro like Bling thinks is not fit to race, whether Muzi won on one of them or not.

Vets /Doctors are not 100 percent correct ALL the time. Case in point today Race 4 HOT favourite Kambulu ...playing up in stalls, broke through stall gates,reloaded ,ran and faded in the run-in. If I am not wrong, overseas if a horse breaks through...automatic scratching. Here the punters who had the hottie a banker DIDN`T get a run for their money.But ,what the hell .It`s just a punter!!!!

Much better coming off at the start, than easing down saying " i felt something wrong" like other top jocks have got away with for years

Only in the UK and must be its own fault. In other countries I have seen them loaded again after a vet check. Many a horse also have won after reloaded and also bolting the course.
