Bipot PA and Jackpot pools at one of SAs most prestigious meetings were poor. The P6 pool saved by foreign money and a substantial carryover.

Get where you are coming from OTA and on the current evidence it is difficult to disagree with your statement.
The tote can however be a much more dynamic platform and they are not doing themselves any favours by stubbornly trudging on without any attempts to renew their offering and presentation.
The pools model has never pushed the boundaries of what can be done to make games more exciting, entertaining and rewarding.
It is very disappointing to see our operators stumbling along without any vision, innovation or the will to give new ideas a shot at turning things around.
With the right products the tote would be a marketing dream for anyone with a bit of drive and direction.
Sad state of affairs.

......must say that despite the tote experiencing a major online lag on Saturday before the running of the Kings Plate it was not as bad an experience and the reason for me testing them was the speed of them paying back the bonus on Kings Plate day bets.....I cocked up there as my 1st 10 bets were smaller in the 1st 2 races owing to the "novelty nature" of riders and race 3 only a slight escalation but rather profitable....so my larger than usual P6 perms and other bets going forward no longer counted towards the bonus.....
......was not even going to claim the bonus as I realized my mistake at the end of the very profitable day and on Sunday went to WSB HO and cashed out my winnings to transfer a portion to my WSB account.
Only yesterday towards the end of the Turffontein meeting I shot off an e-mail to claim the rather smaller bonus and was very surprised that it was in my tote account an hour later and this after business hours.....very very impressive indeed....
......should the tote decide to pay this type of bonus every day on all bets I may consider giving them a chance....

4Racing does have a loyalty scheme and you convert your points to rands.
The only problem is that you have to wager your bets on their
betontab or betontab.mobi
websites only.
Interbet has a loyalty scheme as well. Any tote, fixed odds, sports bets, all counts towards your points.

.....Thanx but I am not really a fixed market punter.....and when I do, the outlay is marginal for the long shot odds and 4th place bets only.....so I will stick with WSB for this ....but I am still feeding their open bet kitty with tote exotics and although I no longer manically churn on a daily basis.... and this has cut my spend there....I still receive a monthly bonus higher that the norm and extra Xmas bonus(2022):woohoo: plus promotion deposit bonus which will be around Met Day again.....and have hardly ever had an issue with their sites(other than the few slow all clear pay pays) nor any poor communication.....

......the tote will still be on a hiding 2nd to none.....as their marketing drive is still to try get new customers instead of trying to win back those that they have lost....the growth of HWB, WSB together with the plethora of others popping up all over the show is killing any chance of the tote trying to make a comeback....they are basically brain dead as there is no way they could survive on their even very high rake from shrinking pools....:S

I had a quick look at the current rules ito Loyalty Points for both Betontab and Interbet - and if I understand correctly, these 'loyalty points' are laughable to say the least.
Starting at Beginner Level (or Club Level at Interbet) one gets 25 points for every R10 wagered (with the added condition at Interbet that you only earn points if your bet is a losing one ) - so R100 wagered will get you 250 points - however you can only redeem in units of 5,000 points - so one needs to have bets totaling R2,000 to earn 5,000 points - then they proudly state that 'Every 5000 loyalty points redeemed rewards you R5 in betting credits to use in your Tab Online account' - so that means that for every R2,000 you bet, they give you a 'loyalty reward' of R5
One can qualify for bigger loyalty rewards should you move up a 'level' (Intermediate on Betontab and Silver on Interbet) - however you need to earn at least 30,000 points (within 2 months) to get to the next 'level' - which means that one needs to spend (or lose with Interbet) at least R12,000 within 2 months to get to the next level. Once reaching the next 'level' (Intermediate or Club) you get an 'additional 25% points for your bet, so in effect one needs to bet slightly less than R2,000 to get to the minimum redeemable points of 5,000 to earn your R5 reward

......on Saturday I had 155 tote bets at an average of R20/25 per bet but started at 6am in Singapore so I turned.... over R3000+ on the day and only started with a 1 voucher deposit of R65.....now what would be nice is to have 10% of that in my account on the next day so I can continue to churn and add to their pools....
.....the tote should never try and offer fixed odds as they are in no shape to even try compete with bookies .....

Depending on which bookmaker you playing with, there are some obscure terms and conditions including limits which can be implemented at anytime for the Open Bet.
When you do win, you will get limited.
My larger bets are on Soccer pool bets these days and at the moment I am using Interbet for that and occasion 4Racing sites. My two big payouts was on the 4Racing site for soccer though and got paid out timeously into my bank account.
