Well nobody told Global Thunder that she was not supposed to win here (looking at the market support for the Tarry baby )
R7: I do fancy Strange Magic a bit, main dangers as per the betting the in-form Kwazzi's Lady and Littlemarysunshine - not sure what happened last time, but she did give Canadian Summer some cheek in the KZN season, so on that should be a big runner; the other de Kock filly Golden Spoon is in form and should complete the quartet
R8: I think the Dawson stable could be in line for a double with Just Be Nice who looks very handily weighted, but Bushveld will not be a push-over; Bee In My Bonnet next best
R9: Looks a trappy affair to me; Tsar Bomba should be held by Texas Red again, while Frontline Fighter who has dismal recent form, is held by Texas Red on earlier form; for me Dancetilldaylight is a class above these, but we don't know if she is ready on her Gauteng debut and she also seems better over further; another that can upset on her best form is Bold Act - coming off a break, but the stable gets them ready to roll after a rest; not the worst idea to have a F in the last leg of the P6

R10; Another trappy affair to close; Pendragon is course suited and has a good draw, so must have a chance, but so does After Hours (pole position) and the in-form Beaded Gown - not a race I will get involved in
Enjoy

After the performance of Global Thunder, it's not surprising that Mist in Scotland is finding the support

I see the pools are dismal again - end-of-the-month blues ? Let's see what happens on the 'flagship' meeting in the Cape on Saturday

Fulliautomatix finding market support - stable in form and trainer mentioned after his winner yesterday that he is expecting a 'good day' today

8 Sagan 3.57 2.86 2.50 2.00 1.82 2.00 2.27 2.50 2.86 3.03 3.57 4.00 4.55 5.00
9 Camerata 6.67 7.14 8.33 7.14 6.25 6.67 6.25 5.00 4.55
Just looking at that betting it makes me happy that I'm starting to lose interest and playing less our racing. They always scheming something these days
Stable jock on the first one that got punted early.Halved it's original price then bombed out to 5-1.
The bookies then drift the stable mate to 8-1 and then they pile on.
It wins with the supposedly stable elect running out the top 3.

On a line through Iron Sky #'s 1 and 9 comfortably held #'s 5 and 8, so it's no surprise that 5 and 8 drifted and 1 and 9 shortened.
You keep looking at the drifters in the market as being shrewd money for others and the drifters as being 'crook'. The reality is it's the initial markups that are poor, not the eventual prices, which are often where the market should have started in the first place.
The SA markets offer far better betting opportunities than international markets, there are loads of mistakes. You just need to put in the time and form your own opinion, you can't use the initial market as your guide.

The spur is small, the track has quickened up and there's a tail wind. Be on those with natural pace from good draws.

All 4 winners so far today were in front 300m from home.

Start to finish Global Impact.
Why was this 10-1? Only because the trainer said it would need the run, but it's run with far stronger than this field.
There is opportunity in SA markets.

Dutching 4 and 6 from good draws. Both have shown pace in their races.
