Week one - The race is run

Thanks for some good competition this week. We had a bizarrely good weekend, and the 'winning margin' does not reflect the nature of the week.

I could not make a case for the favourites in the race so looked for a lurker (my usual practise)... His firt start with Steyn up was fair after being bumped at the start, barrier position one and blinker strike. Also Hall-green training for Hall-Green... and being a new trainer I knew they would be going full out. I mean could you have Velvet Clock at that price?? I only had one bet on the day... and that was that trifecta... Spent R48 and got back R1377.00 .... alas I missed out on some decent priced winners later that day.... hope this helps, but please don't ask me again {grin}... cos I gotta have some trade secrets
