Why put Julius Mariba up on your fancied horse when you got Ryan Munger?
2 wins this season with a strike rate of 3% says it all about his ability.

Racing in SA is a joke at the moment ! So much going on. Tony Peter should start a 'train the trainer' academy. Clearly Justin Snaith and Peter Muscutt etc have so much to learn !!!!

Munger was carded on a Fortune horse so dont think they allowed to change but agree, MARIBA not a like for like replacement for DOMEYER!!!! Punters suffer again!!!

I think Mariba has ridden a winner for Fortune recently. Maybe he rides work for them so they reward him when they can.

Below is an excerpt from an interview with Dettori.

Since racing is so competitive, both in landing riding assignments and winning races, do you find it difficult to have close friendships with other riders?

Robert Havlin: Frankie Dettori’s best mate is a jockey. Photo: Dan Abraham / focusonracing.comRobert Havlin: Frankie Dettori’s best mate is a jockey. Photo: Dan Abraham / focusonracing.comThat’s a good question. I’m friends with everyone, but my best friend, believe it or not, is a jockey. He is the number two jockey for John Gosden named Robert Havlin. We’ve been working together for 10 years.

You know, it’s very hard to find your best friend working with you doing the same job but Robbie has never been a person that tries to shoot me in the foot. We get along well, we’ll be honest with each other. We’ve always left plenty for him to keep competing to make a living so he can have a good career. We always got on well.
