SCOTIA SAYS HELLO.

Good afternoon to the CLAN, have been meaning to post for days, but time is flying and its nearly Christmas.

Hope you have been backing the winners?.

Plenty activity on and off the site, with the competition with Freeracer and at this stage we have our backs to the wall, but a big thanks to Hollywood for putting it together.

On the Interbet/Blackpearl Summer Cup competition, I cant believe how many 14/1 and 16/1 shots the lads keep coming up with.

I had posted a picture of the parade ring at the big T, however it was mentioned on the Forum that the track is looking superb, especially if you consider our weather, so well done to the ground staff.

The big news is that Clan Classique should be running on Sunday, and we will have a gathering of some of the syndicate members to cheer our lass home.

It was sad to hear that Zarkava has gone to stud, huge decision to make, but finance is always the driving force, we will hopefully keep the Clan in training when faced with the same dilemma.

I am trying to take it easy this week from a health point of view and had the grapefruit and yogurt for breakfast, but have a birthday this week and Mrs S away the weekend, so it could be a short lived health kick.

On the ante-post side, Australia could be the place to be with the Caulfield Cup next weekend and will be interesting to see if Weekend Hussler can get back to winning ways after the shock defeat.
Melbourne Cup on the 4th of Nov, and glad to report Septimus has arrived safely, can O'Brien produce another Grade one winner? Check the Forum for the O'Brien story.
The Cox Plate is on the 24th Oct and Weekend Hussler is also a nomination.

Over to the States at the end of the month, where at this stage the only "hottie" is Zenyatta running on the Friday, but the big action will be on Saturday where the Breeders Cup Classic, could have the clash between Curlin and Big Brown and Henrythenavigator, to make it a real Classic. Breeders Cup Mile could bring together Goldikova, Ravens Pass, Henry? plus Archipenko and the BC Turf could see Soldier of Fortune (O'Brien) against Eagle Mountain (MDK).

UK at Newmarket next week we have the Champion Stakes, where New Approach is the probable winner and that man O'Brien can pop up again in the Dewhurst with Rip Van Winkle.
The jumps will be in full swing again shortly and Kauto Star will make his return in the Betfair Chase on the 22nd of November.

So if you consider our own Summer Cup on the 29th of November, including the International Jockeys, its a magic time to be involved in the sport of kings.

Good punting!
