Thisotherdude, this is exactly why I like to play UK racing. Locally, you fool yourself into thinking studying the form will help you win. In the UK you can play a select mix of betting, fancies and outsiders, and sometimes strike it lucky, with minimal effort. I also use the TAB Sheet as a guide, sometimes there is value, and hit it lucky.

On a lighter note, Gregor McGregor, based on the finishes is due to run a double digit place, if he is lucky. Five year old maiden, cannot be too much improvement to come. Better you than me.

Frodo, the Greyville meeting was the original meeting. GC agreed to the Cape meeting when requested. We have to work together and although they don't like to have double headers it was in the interest of racing to do it. Many of the runners in Cape Town are coming here for the season and wanted a run there before coming up. I believe that the tote turnovers( takeout) on the SA meetings will still be higher than the takeout in the overseas meetings.

I believe that this is quite obvious, local racing always attracts higher turnover than the overseas meetings. One has operational costs associated with running, and punters will split their budget over the two local meetings rather than spending it all on one.
The overseas meeting has zilch additional costs or effort from the tote to cover. You really cannot compare the two.
