ASCOT and FRED remembers FRANKIE.

Good morning all and we have another exciting weekend ahead.

I am starting an early Ascot thread with some mouthwatering clashes in store.

We can never forget Frankie's magnificent seven as his farewell tour continues to bring back memories for one of the great Jockeys and a character of the game.

Ascot starts on 20th June and ends on the 24th, 5 superb days.

We have the following possibilities and runners still to be confirmed:

20th

Queen Anne (Modern Games and Inspiral)

Coventry Stakes (River Tiber and Asadna)

King Stand (Highfield Princess and Coolangatta)

St James (Chaldean and Paddington)

21st

Duke of Cambridge (Jumbly)

Prince of Wales (DESERT CROWN, Luxembourg and Adayar)

Royal Hunt Cup.

22nd

Norfolk Stakes (Elite Status and American Rascal)

Ribblesdale

Gold Cup (COLTRANE, Eldar Eldarov and Emily Dickinson)

23rd

Commonwealth Cup (LITTLE BIG BEAR)

King Edward VII

Coronation Stakes (TAHIYRA and Mawj)

24th

Hardwicke (Hukum)

Queen Elizabeth (Kinross and Art Power)

Workingham

Massive fields, huge exotics, great horse and jockeys.

More to follow over the next 2 weeks.

On the local front we have Hollywood Greyville on Saturday featuring the GOLD CHALLENGE and a great card.

The exotics are worth a bash and we can't wait for the final July field and race card.

As far as Saturday:

ABERDEEN looks a good sort and has Richard Fourie to help.

GIMMEANOTHERCHANCE looks a banker for De Melo and MDK.

There is a lot to like about ROCKPOOL and I took an ATC with yesterday's UK hotties so have a good price, plus also took an ante post for July.

My initial July punt was WITHOUT QUESTION and I guess the Richard Fourie factor is the key?

The talking horse is again CHARLES DICKENS and we have plenty thought on the site as far as the price but let's consider it as another potential banker.

Manchester City will hopefully follow West Ham and lift the Champions League 🏆

There are a few Hollywood punts available on the racing/football doubles on Saturday.

Our Fears and Thoughts thread has been a bit dead as I guess we are all aware of the dangerous situation that the ANC have led us into but it appears nothing can be done to stop the rot ?

The financial implications with our Russian friends could be disastrous.

I will leave you a memory of Ascot that made Frankie a hero and broke the bank for many bookies .

Good Punting 👍

Just before the 7th race the BBC said to themselves “do we or don’t we flight the 7th race live on the main news”? Being uppercrusted with stiff noses the BBC chose not to flight the 7th live. On the other side Sky said “let’s do it” to show the 7th race live on the main news. As we know now Frankie became the news. 😊
